Good apartment in a quiet neighborhood

  • 4 of 5
This is a good apartment to visit Seattle: quiet neighborhood, still near the center and several attractions. Good size for four (family with 2 teens). We found it clean, everything as advertised. The kitchen is okay, there is not much light as it is in a basement.

Perfect Location, Pleasant Stay

  • 5 of 5
This apartment rental was perfect for our family of 4's needs. It's well-located in a great neighborhood, in walking distance of a huge supermarket, and close to restaurants, playgrounds, coffee, etc. The apartment itself was clean, bright, and appropriately furnished. My only wish was that the kitchen had been better stocked with essential pantry items like olive oil, tin foil, butter... things that you need to cook but don't want to buy if you're just using it two or three times. We had a great trip! Thank you!

Comfortable, Convenient, Good Value

  • 5 of 5
I stayed here with a friend during a weekend workshop at Seattle Yoga Arts. We loved being able to walk to the studio in 10 minutes, and stopping at Community Co-op and Trader Joe's on the way home.
The two bedrooms had more than enough room, and there was plenty of floor space in the living room for between-class yoga practice. This is a very spacious apartment, more spacious than the pictures can show.
It's a daylight basement apartment, but it's not so basement-y. The radiant heated floors are wonderful, and windows on 3 sides are cheerful. It's totally clean and warm and I would stay here again.
I would recommend this to friends looking for lodging in this neighborhood. I would also offer two considerations. The ceilings and door frames are a bit shorter than normal, and if you're six feet tall or over, you might be ducking through the doors. I didn't measure, but they looked short. Also, it's a 'vintage' house, and the floors overhead squeak. I was awoken at 5:15 am the first morning by footsteps overhead. However, the second night, I work earplugs, and slept like a rock.
If you have four people, it would be a total deal.
We had Sunday brunch at Cafe Flora on Madison.... wonderful.
The owner got back to us promptly when we had questions.

Location

From the Owner

I purchased this property because it is a unique historical property, built in 1910. It is fantastically located and was remodeled down to the studs directly after purchasing it.
