High-ceiling architecture with intricate detailing and built-ins, fireplaces in both LR and BR, front veranda access and patio.

Great Location in Santa Barbara

We truly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It had the BEST location. Easy walk to coffee, dinner, the beach, the wharf, etc. It was quiet. The kitchen is superb--stocked with any item you need to cook etc. The space is huge and light-filled. The bed was great. So much better than staying in a hotel!

Much More Than I Expected!

I travel all the time and I've learned to read between the lines/photos of vrbo rentals. I have extremely high expectations and was a little leery of my choosing this triplex rental, as my usual criteria (ocean view or front) was not with this property. However, the location of these units made up for that missing element as did the excellent restoration of these 100 year old units. Charming, clean and so unique that I actually have already booked my return visit! The other surprising plus was the owners, Sandy and Joy, who I enjoyed so much! They were more than accommodating and fun! Sandy actually got us into a popular restaurant that was already booked when we called; great restaurant just down the street! My birthday celebration was indeed one of the better ones!!!

Wonderful Stay- Perfect Hosts!

We booked the main unit as a last minute getaway for our anniversary! We were blessed that they had an opening (do not follow our lead- book early!) Everything was clean, the decor wonderful, king bed soooooo comfortable! Sandy was a wonderful host and even secured a reservation for us at Toma. He and his wife Joy also educated us on the rooftop vertical garden they have there, called Chapala Gardens. A must see! We enjoyed the location here and walked all over State Street and the beach which are both just blocks away! They also have 2 other smaller units all housed in the same building. The street is quiet and we enjoyed just relaxing on the front porch as well. It is also near the Amtrak station so if you would like a car free trip this is also a great location.
We will be back- next time for longer so we can take in more of Santa Barbara!

Great Place!

My husband and I wanted a nice place, near to the beach, near to downtown, and this house was it! The location was absolutely perfect. Parking was easy in the neighborhood. There is a local trolley/bus that you can catch at the train station (1 block away) that will take you to the far end of State Street for 50 cents.The house is comfortable, beautifully decorated, and really just perfect for a get-a-way!

A Gem!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely property for three nights. The owners, Joy and Sandy, are wonderful and so responsive. We arrived in need of an iron and within 10 minutes the iron appeared. The property is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is outfitted with everything that you may need. We were visiting with family that included a five month old so having everything on site was so helpful. The living room receives wonderful natural light and the tv was great as we were there over Super Bowl weekend. The bedroom is a nice big space and has a king sized bed which was so comfortable, we had the most restful night's sleep. The bathroom was just redone and is great-everything you need although the step into and out of the shower/bathtub is high so be careful.The weather in Santa Barbara was perfect so we spent most of our time outdoors and the location of this property was fabulous-2 blocks to the beach. The Marina and State Street for shops, restaurants, movie theaters are just minutes away by foot. There were bicycles to use but we just ran out of time and there is a lovely working farm on the roof of the building which was really interesting. As guests we were invited to check it out and there is a really nice sitting area up there to use in the early mornings and evenings. Joy was even nice enough to give us a head of the organically grown lettuce. There is also a really nice porch too with comfortable wicker furniture. You just felt like you were staying at a friend's home, the owners are around and quick with a response to any question or any need that you may have. We highly recommend this property!
