Thank you for your wonderful hospitality! We had a great time here in Mariposa and in the beautiful Yosemite National Park. It was a great getaway from the busyness of Los Angeles. We really enjoyed our stay here at Robin's Nest. We felt more like we were staying with family or friends rather than a hotel. The place was very relaxing and nice. We had a great time.

What a GEM!

  • 5 of 5
This is a great place to stay and use as a hub to explore the gold mining area of California or Yosemite which is a scenic 1 hour drive from Robin's Nest. Robin and Trace are great hosts and although we did not get to experience the famous Trace margharita we hope to the next time we visit.
The accomodations are immaculate and when you arrive there is a basket of treats that includes chocolate and cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit. There is also a refrigerator that has fresh water, ice tea and local ground coffee that is very fresh and makes a great pot of coffee for morning. There is also everything you would need to make a ham, cheese and egg breakfast muffin! How can you beat that?

Mariposa is a small town and close enough to walk to from Robin's nest (1.5 miles) and has some good places for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We particularly enjoyed our meal at Savourey's which was a recommmendation.

If I had one recommendation it would to beef up the signal strength on the free WIFI as we had trouble either connecting or staying connected but to be honest it was also nice to have time away from the web!

Really enjoyed this place and highly recommend if you are going to be in the area.

Absolutely Perfect Little Getaway

  • 5 of 5
We truly loved staying here, and I have recommended Robin's Nest to everyone I know! The little kitchen especially impressed us; it was so nice and so well-stocked! We loved enjoying breakfast, tea, and coffee in our room before heading out to Yosemite for the day. We wish we had gotten to spend more time just chatting with Robn and Trace, as they are so friendly and so knowledgeable of Yosemite. We had a limited time at the park, so we followed Trace's advice on what to see and do and were never disappointed.

Our room was absolutely spotless, very quiet and private, and delightfully cozy. Trace's margaritas were pretty great, as well! :)

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5
Really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean, beautifully decorated and private. Trace and Robin could not have been more warm and welcoming. A great place if you're looking to get away from the crowds. We spent two days exploring nearby Yosemite and really appreciated Trace's intimate knowledge of the park. Highly recommend!

Owner's Response: Joan and Russell, Trace and I really enjoyed getting to know you and sharing stories about living in a "small town." We felt as though you were long time friends with whom we had a lot in common. We hope to have you as guests again and would love to spend time in El Portal and Yosemite and show you some of the awesome swimming holes on the river.

Cozy Get Away

  • 5 of 5
This sweet get-away is aptly named Robin's Nest. A basket of treats, homemade banana bread and breakfast foods were waiting for us. Everything was clean and the backyard sitting area was charming. Our hosts, Trace and Robin, were friendly and available to give travel advice, especially relating to Yosemite. We felt we made new friends!
