This is a serene, beautiful area to relax and reconnect with family. The house sits on an ideal angle right on the ocean so you get to enjoy the waves, Goat Island, and the beautiful crescent shaped beach. We enjoyed the simplistic layout of the house which takes advantage of the views and has a fantastic great room. Master suite below had welcomed privacy and ocean views. Garden is beautiful too. We snorkelled, rented a kayak on the beach and really enjoyed the drives to Pipeline, Dole Plantation, Polynesia Center and even the small village with Foodland, Icecream shop etc. Come and enjoy a slice of paradise!

We had a wonderful stay. There were 9 people in our group with plenty of room for all of us. The view was spectacular. Loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. Enjoyed that we could BBQ as well as have a full kitchen to use. Had a great time on the North Shore, loved it's slower pace. So very glad we stayed here.

We needed to get away for a few days so we found this quaint Oahu beachfront house with dramatic views. Everything was in order: clean, nice furnishings and peace and quite. We spent hours on the deck and watched the windsurfers with a view of Goat Island in the background. Our stay exceeded all the great things we read in the reviews and the owner was attentive to our needs. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

If you're looking for the perfect getaway house away from all the tourist trappings this is the place. The house was located close to many beautiful family friendly beaches and we enjoyed them all. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. Lots of beach toys, towels and chairs. We were a group of 5 adults and 4 children and there was plenty of room. Our vacation was perfect and we can't thank Debbie enough for all she did in helping us arrange our wonderful stay at the house. We highly recommend this house.

I am writing this review from the great room of this amazing home! We are a family of seven (five teenagers/young adults, mom, dad) on our first Hawaiin vacation. I am so glad we found the Hali Pili Lani! First and foremost, the view is to die for. You might not want to leave the house! The home is clean and well stocked with all the necessities. We really appreciated the great room with a big dining room table and plenty of chairs for our big group. The main part of the home includes a great room, kitchen, three bedroom and a bath. What we didn't expect was the lower-level master suite. The master suite has a private entrance and isn't accessible from the main home. For a family with small children, this probably wouldn't work, but for us it was perfect! My husband and I are really appreciating the privacy.

The neighborhood beach is beautiful and just a short walk away. We spent one afternoon snorkeling there and plan on going back for more. The beach towels provided at the house were a wonderful bonus and kept us from having to bring our own or purchase some here. The washer and dryer were also great to have.

There is a strip mall just down the hill (walking distance) with a grocery store, movie theater and several restaurants. We loved the burgers at Seven Guys. The Polynesian Cultural Center is a short drive away. We are really enjoying the slower, laid-back pace of Laie.

Deb (one of the owners) was great to work with. We communicate several times via email and phone and she was always very prompt to respond and answer my questions. Bottom line: I would not hesitate to recommend the Hale Pili Lani and hope to return here again myself!

We rented this beautiful home for 7 nights. The view was breathtaking! We fell asleep to the crashing of the waves every evening! The home had great space for our family of 4 plus had my sister in law & brother in law and their daughter plus Nana!

It was kind of a trip to have one of the bedrooms with private bath down below the home but it was definitely private with our own lanie. Great having a washer and dryer. We used it every night for towels to prepare for the next day at the beach.

The beach was walking distance. Thanks for having sand toys. We found lots of ghost crabs at Temple Beach. So Fun!!

Grocery store was close by too. Everything is closed on Sunday in Laie so we planned ahead. Everyone in the town was so friendly! The home had wonderfully large windows which allowed for great light and had amazing cross breezes with the windows open!

We loved interacting with Deb. She made this whole experience so easy to set up. Very personable and helpful. Thank you so much!! We would definitely rent this home again.

Me and my family's first vacation trip to Hawaii and was very fortunate to find the PERFECT house to stay at for the week. The location at the North Shore gave you a feel of how the locals lived rather than the crowd at Honolulu. Shopping center literally down the street from the house and was 5 minutes away from the famous Giovanni shrimp truck, best beaches and one mile away from the Polynesian Cultural Center.

The pictures on this site does not do the place justice. The landscape was tremendously beautiful and well kept with all of the islands natural beauty. The house came with everything you need along with WiFi, two boogie boards, sand castle toys, beach mats, goggles/snorkling goggles and more.

AWESOME communication and GREAT detailed packet that answers all of your needs and questions. Being it our first time in Hawaii, we were truly at ease!!! Highly recommend this to my friends, family and anyone who truly want to experience Oahu at its fullest.

Look no more if you want to stay on O'ahu!

I've done the research for you. A spectacular house, just as the pictures show. The local beaches were the most beautiful I have ever seen, and I can't imagine where the crowds were, maybe Waikiki? Great location, close to the grocery store, quiet street, short drive to Sunset Beach to see the surfers and the historic town of Hale'iwa, where there are some great restaurants and shops. My family of nine had no problem fitting in, we could all sit at the table at one time. Can't beat the price either, very good value for this 'villa'. Very clean and well kept home. I miss it sooo much already and plan to return!

This was a fantastic location, walking distance to the beach and the grocery store as well as some eating establishments. The house was beautiful, clean and very homey, and the view was spectacular. The community was friendly and safe. I would not hesitate to stay again, if we were less people. We were 4 couples and only the bedroom downstairs was enclosed, the others did not have walls going up to the vaulted ceilings, so the lack of privacy was an issue for us. It would be great for a large family or 2 couples. I would stay here again, as it was a beautiful relaxing area and only a 45 minute drive to the city, through other beautiful communities with fantastic ocean views.

Lovely location, view, place, but most of all the owners! Our experience was warm and accommodating from the moment we started the process of inquiring about this place. By the time we finally got to the islands and the beautiful house we felt right at home. Being a kamaaina (local) but currently live in the Midwest, it truly was like coming home! I highly recommend any family that is looking for peaceful serenity to hop on this one, TODAY!!! Mahalo nui loa to B & B!!!

Look No Further.... Perfection!!

Aloha! We spent 13 days in Oahu! After the first 4 days in Honolulu and Waikiki I was ready to go back home! I wanted the relaxation and peace of Hawaii I had always imagined. Then we arrived at Hale Pili Lani and my imagination became reality! It is simply gorgeous. It feels so comfortable and peaceful forcing even a workaholic like me to relax. The pictures do not do it justice. The amenities were perfect. The master suite downstairs is perfect for privacy and away time from the rest of the group. Bob and Barbara Ann provided the best of customer service. The memory book in the home is excellent idea as it allowed us to see what others had experienced and their recommendations. The extras, snorkel gear, boogie boards, etc. while not provided by the owners were a welcome surprise! It is a great way to share! Prior to going shopping, make sure you visit the house and see what is there! I traveled with my family of 4 and my mother in law and mother. The house is laid out well for people with disabilities, elderly and families. The locals are great and very friendly. The neighbors are very close but are not in anyway intrusive. The local food is outstanding! Laie is a perfect home based location to explore this island. We swam with sea turtles and even one small tiger shark! We had the pleasure of a seal beaching itself for the evening as well. The ocean breezes, waves crashing and moon lit darkness will create a peaceful nights sleep every night! If you are wondering where to stay, wonder no more! This is it! Mahalo

Wonderful Vacation at Hale Pili Lani

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at Hale Pili Lani from July 12-26, 2014. This house was perfect for our group of 9 (4 adults and 5 children aged 10 to 16). Pictures do not do it justice, the view is incredible. It was wonderful to hear the ocean each night as you fall asleep. The grounds are very well maintained and we enjoyed sitting in the outdoor chairs overlooking the ocean each evening after a busy day exploring Oahu, very relaxing. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is definitely the place. The house itself is open concept which allowed plenty of space for all of us. The kitchen is well stocked, and having a barbecue was ideal as we cooked many of our dinners at home during our stay. The bedrooms are all a good size and having ceiling fans in every room helped to keep the house cool even in July. We explored the local beaches which are beautiful and within walking distance. The beaches are very private and there were really only a handful of other families on the beach with us at any one time, sometimes none at all. It gives quite a different experience than other beaches such as Waikiki or even Sunset Beach. Although not guaranteed, we were very happy to find that there were plenty of beach chairs and boogie boards left behind at the house. Temple Beach was a little further to walk to with all of our gear in tow, but there was ample parking available across the street. The local shops (a 5 min walk)were a nice amenity, our kids went for Shave Ice every day. They even enjoyed a local fair during our stay. Bob and Barbara were very helpful in recommending local attractions, restaurants and hikes. We tried many of their recommendations and were glad we did. They helped make our Oahu vacation one to remember for sure, so a heartfelt Mahalo to them!

Fun time!

  • 5 of 5
The accomodations were lovely, with the outdoor lawn/patio area being the favorite for the kids and parents. Some of the previous renters left beach toys which was very convenient since we had a 3, 4 and 5 yr olds. We didn't have to buy any! There were also plenty of beach towels. The owners were easy to communicate with and were very responsive. We had a wonderful time.

The view and location was excellent

  • 5 of 5
I couldn't imagine a more perfect location to stay in Hawaii. Being able to hear the ocean every night as we slept and being able to see a gorgeous sunset every night was wonderful. Bob and his wife were so very nice and helpful to make our stay perfect. We had a total of 8 people. My mom (we were celebrating her 60th birthday) and dad stayed in the downstairs room and it was very nice for them to have their own little place when they needed it. My grandpa, myself, my wife, my 2 boys (17 and 14) and my daughter (12) all stayed upstairs and we had plenty of room. I can't say enough about the view we had every morning we would wake up. I thought we would use the table inside to eat more often but we always ended up out on the deck because it was so beautiful out there. I loved the fact that we could walk to the grocery store whenever we wanted - it was about 5-10 minutes away. And there are 2 beaches within walking distance. I would strongly recommend Temple beach - it is a little further but is now my favorite beach in the whole wide world because on our last day there I was snorkeling with my daughter and we saw 2 sea turtles!!!!!! It was such a wonderful experience to just be floating above them and watching them. We also saw a lot of different kinds of fish there but I love sea turtles! - We had gone to several different beaches to see if we could find any and ended up finding them in our own back yard!!!! Also don't miss out on going to the end of the road (instead of turning left to the house turn right - or just walk down there - it is less than a 5 minute walk) - There is a state or national "park" - it is basically a rocky outcrop that you can walk on and the view is spectacular - we almost missed it and didn't know it was there until 2 days before we left. The kids (and my dad and I) loved climbing all over the rocks - seeing the crabs and mollusks (I think that is what they were) all over, also seeing the ocean all around you hitting against the rocky place. We watched the sunset from there on our last night and it was marvelous. The house had snorkel gear and boogie boards that we all used. The house was clean and had plenty of room for the 8 of us. So much nicer than trying to get a hotel and being cramped in those rooms - and it was much less expensive than a hotel. I just can't say enough about this house!!! You will not regret saying there - I promise!!!! PS - my Granpa is 83 and got around great in the house!

From the Owner

The photos tell the story of our property. Tranquility with a view. The well equipped and maintained home was designed for the view. You’re also only a short walk from La`ie Shopping Center and a short 1.7 mile drive to the Polynesian Culture Center, BYU, and the LDS Hawaii Temple . The world famous North Shore is right around the corner, 10 miles away. The house is secluded, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Honolulu and Waikiki, but just an hour’s drive away. Our home sits up on a bluff over looking the blue, Pacific Ocean and though there is not direct beach access from the property, it’s just steps away from our street’s private access to a white sandy beach.
