Private End Of Street Home In Lawton Woods
Sea Pines Hilton Head

Very, very nice!

  • 5 of 5
Our family, two adults and four children, had a lovely time at this house! It was very clean and spacious! It had all the comforts of home. At first we were a bit concerned about it being too far from beach, but it is only a 5 minute bike ride to the beach. We loved that the house provided bikes for our whole family, even a baby carrier for our youngest! The location of this house came to be one of the best parts about it. It is very close to the stables, a short bike ride to the grocery (Harris Teeter), and we loved being close to the nature preserve! We also biked to Harbor Town and South Beach a few times. We had a lovely time at this location and would love to return! Oh, and the owners were fabulous to work with! Quick to respond and accommodate!

Great house with lots of room.

This was our third year spending the month of March in Hilton Head, and the first time at this house. House was a great size, even when we had 6 adults for one week. Great well-equipped kitchen and the two living areas were nice. Bedrooms could use a little sprucing up and the master bath was the smallest one in the house. Our major complaint was that there was no mirror in the master bedroom. With the master bath so small, only one person could be in there at a time and there was no mirror in the bedroom for the other person to get ready. A full-length mirror would also be nice. I had to continually walk out on the deck to look at my reflection in the glass doors for a full view. That is the main reason we will not be renting this house again next year. Owners were nice and responsive to our concerns. Also, did not care for Lawton Woods as much as Greenwood Forest where we had stayed the past two years.

Owner's Response: I had an e-mail from the guest who mentioned that a mirror in the master bedroom would be nice, and we do appreciate feedback. I e-mailed back to thank her for this and we have a mirror to install when we are in HHI in June. We have had very nice comments from our guests and we take comments seriously. We feel we have a very nice, quite neighborhood that families will enjoy. This guest had rented for a full month so maybe the bathroom just was not up to her expectations.

Great house, great location

The exterior of the house doesn't indicate how spacious and comfortable the house is. It looks small, but the reality is much different. We had four adults for part of our stay, yet no one felt cramped. The house was spotless and well equipped. There were a number of bikes in the huge basement, so getting around Sea Pines was a lot of fun. The weather was unseasonably cold and the heat pump had a little trouble keeping the house warm, but an oil-filled radiator remedied that problem. All and all, we had a wonderful time in a lovely house! We would happily rent this property again.

Exactly as billed; great Christmas stay

The previous reviews do this rental justice as does the description/photos from the owner. When my wife and I left (2 college age children accompanied us) I said that I could live in the house full time.

Perhaps not previously covered is that grill is OUTSTANDING and not some cheapy. And there was a spare tank if needed. Location is very good. Getting to the beach would be simple and would not require driving, if you can take a walk. And the free bikes with an attachable trasnport means you can take "stuff" to the beach.

We would rent again, for sure.

Very nice accomodations!

This was a great rental. The house was clean and had all the comforts of home. Bedrooms are spacious and it was nice having two living areas. The basement area was also a nice bonus with the ping pong table. We appreciated the inclusive pricing. Access to the Harbortown Pool was a plus as this time a year you essentially have the entire pool to yourself. Temps were still in the mid 80s the week we were there. One thing I really enjoyed was being adjacent to the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. You can cut through the back yard and be on the access road that takes you to the entrance. I'd get up in the a.m. and bike down. It's really a neat little place.
If you haven't stayed in Sea Pines before it is really worth it. The bike trails are superior to the other plantations and of course you are closer to South Beach and Harbor Town. Two must sees if you are going to HHI. And the new Sea Pines Beach Club is very nice.

I have to say how very impressed we were with not only the property itself but the location of the property and Ben Williams in general. Let me first start off by saying how inviting the house was apon entering it is bright and just simply gorgeous. The detail in the description did not let us down at all. Located in the Lawton Woods gated community in Sea Pines. It was relatively close to almost everything. The beach club you could use the bikes to get to. We used 1/4 tank of gas on the island total in a week and we went everywhere. My children loved the fact that outside the house approx 500 to 1000 feet we had special guests daily gators. They would run down there daily to visit. The stables were a hop skip and jump away and Savannah was about an hr away we enjoyed visiting there too. Ben we appreciate you keeping in contact with us to make sure everything was up to and beyond our expectations which it was. I have to say that our unexpected delay in returning home was one thing that truly was helpful in this all. Our van broke down the night before we were to leave and Ben was generous and very helpful during this time keeping up and calling to make sure everything was okay and going well for our family. This to me says Ben truly cares what happens and its not just about a rental property to him and Leslie. I would totallly recommend this property or any property owned by the Williams family. I ambglad to give this house my stamp of approval and hope it helps others when vacationing in HHI.
