I have rented this house since 2004. It has been a pleasure to offer families a comfortable, clean, and adorable house so close to the ocean with so much to do and see in Kure Beach and the surrounding area. I am an adjunct professor of criminal law and justice at a local university. I am a former prosecutor from New Jersey. We moved to Kure Beach in 2003, and we love its quiet seaside town atmosphere. Having grown up at the beach, I am so happy to be back living in this seaside town (I live next door). I take great pride in the beautiful roses that adorn the front yard!
We are now home and unpacked . . . time just goes by too quickly. I can't believe vacation is over already. We have wonderful memories though, and I thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. It really felt like "home away from home." We loved your big porch and the outdoor shower, too. The kids played numerous games of Clue and Monopoly. The weather was great, and the beach was incredible. The ocean water was so warm. We enjoyed the gazebo very much. We packed our lunches each day we went to the beach and ate at the gazebo. We went to the carnival, played mini golf, hit balls at the batting cages, walked to the pier, and went to the aquarium.
We also took the Southport Ferry and went to see the Oak Island Lighthouse and Old Baldy. Old Baldy Lighthouse is now our very favorite. We rented bikes and went to see the shoals of Cape Fear . . . it was amazing!!!!!! We rented the team bike which sits side by side so we could talk and the kids each had their own. The team bike was a workout for us, to say the least . . . 6 miles . . . but had a good time and a good laugh about our crazy idea to rent it. Michael's Restaurant was an excellent place to eat. Thanks for the suggestion. They do have the best chowder that I have ever eaten, as well as the best snow crab legs. Oh, on Friday after we went to the NC Aquarium and got to see the sharks in the tank.
I hope you can tell by this email what a wonderful time we had and how much we enjoyed your home. Thanks again!!
