Me and some family members and friends have been coming to the house for the past two yrs,and looking forward to coming back in may this year. The house is a great place to stay.the house is kept up well,& when i call up to reserve our time there, patsy is very nice & very friendly to deal with.We use to drive up to bishop every yr until we found this gem. It's closer & more economical for us to stay at.The fishing has been great for bass,it's peaceful&so relaxing. We look forward to this getaway,& probably will for many yrs to come

Great Retreat

  • 5 of 5
My girlfrind and I picked this place because of the location on the water and being a nice drive from San Diego. It was just what we hoped for, clean, very relaxing and great get-away place. We fixed steaks on the grill and had a candle light dinner on the roof top deck. Just the sound of bull frogs and ducks in the back ground. The master bathroom is very large and spa tub was big enough for both of us. We made a fire, plenty of wood for the fireplace. The canoe was being cleaned but we did have fun in the row-boat the next day. We hope to go back and spend a whole week. Good value for the price.

Owner's Response: We are happy that somone took the time to write a nice review. Seems like all the guests enjoy themslevs and most of them are returning from a previous visit. We have the canoe back in the water. We also loan out fishing gear now.
Best wishes , the owner.

House on the Lagoon

  • 4 of 5
My friend and I recently stayed at the House on the Lagoon. Pulling up to the property I was a little skeptical because the house which was surrounded by very, very old trailor homes that were in very bad looking shape. However, the place was very well kept. The place was very clean and each bedroom was made up very nicely. The kitchen was very nice in size and very well equipped everything you would need to make a meal, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, paper towels. The fridge was nice and clean and had plenty of ice from the icemaker. Although, it wasn't cold enough to start a fire in the fireplace, it was nice to know it was there if we were to visit during the winter months. The patio outside had a ceiling fan with lights which I used to bait my hook that I left out in the water overnight. Although, we didn't have time to light up the grill this time around, I'm sure we will on one of our upcoming visits we have planned. To top it off, our contact Patsy was very kind and very patient with my many questions about the fishing holes in Palo Verde. Looking forward to my next visit.
