This 1,450 sf 4th floor condo unit offers Stunning ocean/marina/sunset views as well as views of the beautiful Mediterranean Style Villas (Actual Balcony View Top Left Picture). From the comfort of your own Living/ Dining/ Master Bedroom you have direct views of the beautiful Turquoise Waters and Chain of Islands the Keys are famous for. In Fall of 2010 the unit was upgraded to include: New Wood Floors throughout, Remodeled Master Bath, New Master Bedroom Furniture Set, New Leather Sofa and Love Seat, and New 32' Plasma in Guest Bedroom.

Typical Day At Kawama Yacht Club: Enjoy a relaxing swim off of our private white sandy beach, BBQ with family at one of our ocean front Tiki Huts, fish for tarpon, snapper or grouper off of the 400' jetty, sunbathe at one of our swimming pools, burn off some calories on our tennis courts, take the kids over to our brand new playground or maybe snorkel in our private saltwater lagoon and swim along side the dozens of exotic fish.

Whichever home you select, make sure to ask if it meets these important Health & Safety Requirements and is Licensed by the State. Owners that operate thier vacation rental without the proper 'Transient License', are in violation of state law.

Pest Control is one of my top priorities since all properties located in this tropical environment are vulnerable to becoming infested with roaches, ants, and spiders. Nothing will ruin a family vacation faster than having to share your unit with these unwelcome guests. That is why all my units are treated and inspected on a regular basis by a Professional Extermination Company

About the Owner

As a Miami resident for over 30 years, I have always enjoyed getting away to Key Largo for the fishing, boating, and relaxation that is unique to the area. Being able to share the Key Largo laid back life style with other families from all over the world has truly been one of the most gratifying experiences of my life. Over the years I have been able to meet so many people and share stories with them. They all seem to have the same things in common, they all love experiencing nature and the outdoors in a way that brings them closer together as a family.

I am married to a very supportive wife Charlene and have two great kids, Sofia and Fernando Jr. They all love the outdoors just as much as dad. I am a Civil Engineer by trade, having worked for 11 years at a firm in Miami primarily in the areas of Land Development and Highway Design. In the mid 90's I began renting out my second home in Key Largo to generate extra income and as the saying goes 'The rest is history'. I still keep my Engineering License active (worked to hard to get it) and have since obtained my Real-estate License. I am currently a member of the Key Largo Board of Realtors and I'm presently serving as President of the Kawama Yacht Club Board of Directors.

nice place to sleep

the condo was very nice and owner took care of extra needs everything was so comfortable like home only one thing would change pillows and sheets. The pools were hot but is July and the lagoon area was a nice change and cooler water. Condo was very close to Pilot House it has good food and music and glass bottom bar area nice even for family's. John Penacamp has lost it's beaty still do glass bottom boat Molasses Reef is beautiful but not the park it self

Kamaya and Key Largo

My husband and I spent two weeks at Fernando's property this summer. Fernando completed all our transactions from beginning to end with friendly efficiency. He was responsive to all our needs throughout our stay. We flew into Ft. Lauderdale, rented a car and drove to Key Largo. From our base at Fernando's condo in Kawama, we traveled up and down the keys, enjoying all that they have to offer like great state parks, restaurants, and happy hours. There was an unavoidable issue with the air conditioning, and Fernando had it repaired within the same day, even checking on us in person and through follow up phone calls. The unit is perfect! We enjoyed the views of the marina and spectacular sunsets from the balcony. In our opinion, condo 402 has the best location in the towers for great views. The pool was perfect. We had everything we needed for a two-week stay including all kitchen supplies. We especially appreciated the washer/dryer. I have some issues that usually make it difficult to sleep away from home on a firm mattress. The master bed is especially comfy and I slept soundly. We highly suggest Morningstar charters for snorkeling. Captain Rick's sailboat is harbored right down the street from Kawama. On one spectacular day, we snorkeled with Captain Rick and then bought seafood from the fish store located right at the same marina to cook in the condo. We especially enjoyed the nearby snorkeling trips(Morningstar and Quiescence-no more than 6 passengers), restaurants (Pilot House, Bayview Grill, Sundowners and Blue Cow Creamery), Publix, and Walgreens. When shopping at Publix, treat yourself by stopping into the Blue Cow Creamery. Key Largo is a wonderful place to enjoy sun, sea, snorkeling, restaurants, and care-free driving-none of the hectic 3-4 lane traffic like some of the beachside Florida cities. All in all, we would not hesitate to return to Fernando's condo and Key Largo.

Our Condo Experience in Key Largo, FL

The condo and surrounding facilities met all of our vacationing needs. The community was peaceful, quiet and secure. Our living space was clean, the kitchen and laundry room were well-stocked. The owner of the condo was friendly and helpful. It was conveniently located--close to parks, shops and restaurants. We were minutes away from John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. We visited there twice for boating, snorkeling and kayaking.

Our only complaint about the Yacht Club was the beach area. Kawama Village has a lovely little beach with soft sand (rare for Key Largo) but the beach was not maintained. It was littered and slightly overgrown. The photos on the website were very accurate, however the beach photo was deceptive. It was not nearly so clean.
Key Largo itself is an amazing place and we would recommend it to others. There is so much to do. The water is warm and beautiful.

We ate at The Fish House Encore. It was highly-rated restaurant but we thought the dinners/drinks were over-priced considering the quality. We found it more enjoyable to go to the local Publix grocery store and cook our own meals. The groceries there were very reasonably priced.
