In the heart of Old Florida, this slice of welcoming country comfort is tucked away on over an acre of fenced and gated land dotted with grand-daddy oaks and fragrant pines. Sandhill Cranes are 'frequent flyers' overhead, along with eagles and numerous songbirds. You may even glimpse one of our resident tortoises. If you prefer a laid-back lifestyle, this is the vacation place for you.
The remodeled and updated interior has a fully-equipped kitchen and a full-size washer and dryer. We provide satellite TV with a DVR and DVD player, free wireless Internet, and a land line with unlimited U.S. long-distance. It is a non-smoking unit.
In your huge (acre-plus) back yard are a picnic table, gas grill and a campfire ring. Whether you are looking for outdoor adventure or just a place to relax and get away from it all, make 'Camp Cozy' your north central Florida home-away-from-home. Lots of other people have, and some of them cry when they have to leave!
We are a retired couple who love this rural retreat. We are close by in case you need us, but give you your privacy. The rental is on the back of our four-acre property, fenced off with your own road in. It 'came with' the house and we completely remodeled it and decided to offer it to those who enjoy living close to nature and especially for dog lovers who think their babies should have a great vacation too.
Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed discovering the "real" Florida--loved the woods and wildlife and all the room for our dog to run. Wonderful hosts, everything we needed was here. Thanks for going out of your way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. You guys are great and we love "Camp Cozy."
“We escaped the hectic traffic and craziness of south Florida and chose to live here because we fell in love with the property where our house and the rental sit, and with the lush horse country, forests, rivers and lakes all around us. Every day brings a new surprise that lets us know we could never live anywhere else. Being able to share our little slice of heaven with others is icing on the cake.”

“Discover a Florida you never knew existed! ATV trails and famous fishing waters are just a few minutes' drive. Flea markets, antiquing, and down-home restaurants are close by, but there is plenty of shopping at familiar chain stores and restaurants in Ocala, Gainesville and Palatka, all about a half hour's drive. Of course, you can make a day trip to theme parks in Orlando or ocean beaches. And you'll always feel like you're really 'home' when you come back. Dogs of most breeds are welcome, and they enjoy being able to run free in the big backyard. We're a NWF 'Backyard Habitat' location, so we've left areas for wildlife that our bird-lovers enjoy. We have even seen whooping cranes at Payne's Prairie Preserve. If you want more 'zip' to your vacation, try the zipline tour, swim with manatees at Homosassa Springs, or take a day trip down one of our beautiful springheads--Juniper Springs, Alexander Springs, Silver Springs and others. Or just relax in your own big backyard with a book and some warm Florida sunshine.”
