Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 6 Sleeps
This is the prime unit for your money. We rarely rent our home out so it is like new, designer decorated, very sunny and extremely CLEAN! This south-facing corner unit has it all; a deck that includes beautiful views of Peak One and Mount Royal, a cozy wood burning fireplace, many board games, music, or you can simply enjoy the peacefulness. The master bedroom has a new king bed, attached private bathroom, and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a brand new, all wood, bunk bed. The bottom bunk is a double size. Two adults can sleep in it very comfortably. The top bunk is a single size. We are big cooks who love food so you find some surprises in our kitchen. Pullout couch in the living room is new, cozy and very comfortable. Our unit is on the second floor.
Our home is located six miles from Copper Mountain, 25 minutes to Vail and 10 minutes to Breckenridge or Keystone. The bike path which is renowned for competitive riding and recreational biking is awesomely maintained and you can cycle to Breck, Copper Vail and beyond! The summer, spring and fall are almost MORE gorgeous than the winter! It is all just a moment away from our front door. Hike out your back door to a mountain lake or peak. A ten minute walk will take you into charming Frisco, with excellent restaurants and small, quaint shops. Get away from the crowds! We will give you the names of the local restaurants!! Great Breakfasts!
The hot tubs, sauna and indoor heated pool are excellently maintained and CLEAN! Sorry we can't accommodate any pets or smoking as there is someone with health issues in our family. Thanks.

Could be such a great place
The deck is lovely but lacks furniture. Unless you drag a dining chair outside, there is no way for you to enjoy the space. The carpet can use a good deep cleaning. There are quite a few large stains everywhere.
As a friend of the owners using their condo for free, it would be totally acceptable. However, as a vacation rental for a paying guest, it is not acceptable.
On a positive note, the complex is great and the location is ideal. The clubhouse (which was included in my rental) is outstanding with an indoor pool, several hot tubs, sauna, steam shower, tennis court, etc... The Mountain side complex backs up the national forest and we had a great time on one of the trails right behind the complex.
On the other hand, it is certainly not the case that our personal belongings and that lots of toys were "scattered everywhere". We use a professional cleaning service and never have any personal belongings out and scattered around. We do have a toy box in the living room that is filled with toys (we have kids and some of our guests also have kids) but they are certainly not scattered around the house. As we advertise very clearly, and explained in our introductory paperwork, this is our second home and very rarely rent it out. we trust that the people that stay with us are looking for a place that is inexpensive, clean, and convenient but that is not a Motel 6, sterile experience for them.
We have a large wardrobe in the master suite that is completely empty and available for our guests. Additionally, half of the drawers in the four large dressers are empty and available for guests. It is true that the owner's closets are filled with our personal belongings, which is why we have the large empty wardrobe available with hangers and shelves. Similarly, the cabinets under the bathroom vanities are not completely empty as you would expect to see in a hotel. We think this may be what the guests were expecting.
It may be that this guest is not used to renting owner-occupied condos. When they first arrived they went to the wrong condo unit (270 instead of 277) and then called us very angry and upset that they could not open the lockbox. Once we were able to help them find the correct unit they then had a problem accessing our Wi-Fi. Once again, they called and were very upset and angry at us because of this. Our Comcast system is just like every other Wi-Fi connection and is fairly straightforward. In our introductory paperwork we did provide them with the Wi-Fi password and have since determined that it is working properly.
Regardless of these factors we do have an obligation to assist all of our guests and make sure they have a pleasant experience. We were very sorry that this guest did not have an optimal experience and we have initiated a number of plans to avoid a similar situation in the future.
