House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 6 Sleeps

Beautiful Scenic Waterfront Vacation Retreat -- modern, spacious pre-

manufactured home located on 150 foot bulkheaded waterfront (canal

and creek), centrally located in Putnam County -- 29 miles to the

beaches in St. Augustine and Crescent Beach, 53 miles to

Jacksonville (home of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Super Bowl 2005),

53 miles to Daytona (Daytona races), 55 miles to Ocala (Silver

Springs), and only 91 miles to the entire Orlando entertainment

areas including Disney World.

You can bring your own boat; public ramp available within minutes

from property, and dock her at your front door for immediate access

to Dunns Creek and St. Johns River. St. Johns River is only 2-3

minutes from your front door by boat! The prized large mouth black

bass abounds in the St. Johns River, the Oklawaha River and in the

Rodman Reservoir, especially in the late spring and fall.

This property is located at 154 Boca Raton Road, Satsuma, Florida,

32189, and is at the dead end of Boca Raton Road. You have to drive

over dirt roads to get to the white fenced area and paved entrance

to Walker's Point -- which is completely surrounded by waterfront

and wilderness areas -- and is your own personal scenic retreat.

Wonderful Walkers Point

  • 5 of 5
Staying at Walker's Point for the months of January and February was a real treat as well as a retreat! The setting is very quiet and peaceful, and the surroundings are so serene. This home is at the end of the street with a wonderful view of Dunn's Creek and the St. John's River. Birds abound, and nature is truly at your doorstep.
The warm hospitality and friendliness of the owners is really amazing!
We were welcomed with open arms, and our every request/question was given prompt and friendly attention.
Access to the river, if you have a boat, is ideal.
We found good restaurants and interesting parks to explore. Its location between Gainesville and St. Augustine makes it an easy day-trip to find birds or explore interesting places in this part of Florida.
We had a vacation to remember and are so glad we found this property for our winter get-away.

Home away from home.

We spent 2 and 1/2 months at Walker's Point and we really enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful house with plenty of room and all the things you would ever wish for. It is decorated like no other place we have ever rented. We would recommend it to anybody that wants a fully furnished place on the waterfront. If you have a boat it is a great place to be. Even if you don't have a boat it is a nice peaceful place to rent. The owner's go out of the way to make sure your stay is great. Lee and Yvonne

Great Florida Vacation!

This Place and the owners are fantastic!
Much better than pictures can show.
This Great place is private and you can't get closer to Florida nature. Though not an avid bird watcher we counted 25 species while enjoying morning coffee on the dock.Manatees at our feet and some of the best fishing with or without a boat, but if you take a boat or just go for a boat ride, you will find yourself right in the middle of Floridas best nature scenary & fishing. We had four generations and great fishing memories. What a great place to explore Florida from, St Augustine=40min to downtown.Took the ferry to other side of St Johns for swimming at the springs, just too many things to list. Oh yea! the house is just perfect, everything you need for an unforgettable time.

If you want to get away from the crowds.

If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. It is at the end of the road, last house. It is in the woods and on a wooded waterway. The restaurants with local color and Walmart are in the five to ten mile range. If you want a more tourist type area, it is about thirty miles to "St. Augustine" which I think is one of the nicest tourist areas in Fla. Just a nice ride thru farm country where many veggies are grown. Probably you will see some wild turkeys on the way. The house is VERY NICELY FURNISHED and on the water. You can park your boat at your front door. Fishing is the big attraction around here but you will need a boat to take advantage of most of it. As you set at the breakfast table you can watch wild ducks, otters, and many other birds and animals. At night it is very quiet and nothing will wake you until the birds start singing in the morning. You do have neighbors next door, the owners. But don't worry, they are some of the nicest people you will meet anywhere. They will do anything for you to make you comfortable and enjoy your vacation. We did. Bob & Jo
