Great Vacation!

  • 5 of 5
This house and location were perfect for our family vacation! The house was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the fishing, caught our best fish within site of the house! We enjoyed the fire-pit and chasing fireflys at night. It is nice and quiet at this location but only minutes from downtown. We made a trip to Cathedral Caverns (20 minutes away), Desoto Falls and Little River Falls (about an hour away), and Huntsville Space and Rocket Center (about 40 minutes away). Those who wanted to fish could do so and those who wanted to go on day trips had plenty of options. We have stayed in other VRBO houses in Guntersville and will definitely come back to this one!

Best and most beautiful place we have ever stayed

  • 5 of 5
The house is beautiful inside and out. My grandkids loved the stairway and open living/dining room. We roasted marshmallows in the firepit and took long walks on the road (which we only saw 2 vehicles the whole time: The mailman and the trash collector. We will definitely stay again next time we are in Alabama.

Lovely place!

  • 5 of 5
My husband was in Guntersville for work for several weeks and stayed in 2 of the 3 cabins during his stay. The cabins are beautiful and spacious ( more of a house at nearly 2,000 sq. ft. ). The vaulted two story beams and wooden ceilings and the stone fireplace gave it charm of a cabin retreat. The kitchen had plenty of cabinets and seating and was fully stocked the master bedroom was large with a huge walk in closet, the 3 bedroom upstairs were also quite large. Each cabin has a circle drive , a front porch with ceiling fans, a back deck with charcoal grill. There is an enclosed boat house for your use as well. Very impressed with this place, it was charming, decorated beautifully and the owners were very attentive to anything that was needed. Thanks for a great stay!!

24th Wedding Anniversary

  • 5 of 5
We could have went anywhere in the country, but we chose Lake Guntersville for our destination. We previously stayed at one of these cabins and enjoyed it so much we had to come back. The host were the most gracious and accomodating for our needs. It was like staying with family. The amenities were more than we could ask for while staying at a lake cabin. Of all the lakes I have fished and vacationed, this is one I would highly recommend. The inside of the cabin was beautifully decorated and spacious. The yard was neatly manicured and accomodated a 21 foot boat. We look forward to spending many more vacations here at the cabin. We especially liked the convience of the location to Guntersville, Huntsville, and Scottsboro. Thank you so much for allowing us to rent one of your cozy cabins. We look forward to seeing you again. Blessings!

My favorite place in the world!

From the minute you open the door you know you're in a special place. The wide open spacious great room is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view of Lake Guntersville. The living area has a gorgeous stone fireplace with a large screen tv above the mantle. The kitchen is fully equipped and large. The master bedroom is so pretty and spacious with great views. My children loved the upstairs bedrooms. They could enjoy more panoramic views of the lake. It's just a fantastic place to stay. Oh and did I mention the boathouse. It's so convenient. This will be an annual trip for our family.

pictures are deceiving...

  • 3 of 5
This cabin is nice, well decorated, and a great place to stay if you want to hang out inside or just take the boat and go fishing....but the pictures on the website of the inside of the cabin are not of the same cabin. The accommodations were comparable to what is shown, but not the same. Also, before you rent this cabin you should know that you share the boathouse, the backyard, and the seating area with the two cabins you are sandwiched between. You must walk through the neighbors yard to the left to get to the boat house, which has no where to hang out or lay out. The basketball court is at the neighbors house to the right. None of the outdoor items shown are private unless the other house is not being rented. You cannot even really see the water from the cabin...and you cannot swim there either. The weeds and milfoil are rampant so if you want to swim, you have to take the boat out into the lake and find another place.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review and thanks for staying with us. I am very easy to reach and wish that you would have called me with these concerns because this is the first less than positive review that I have had in 7 years of renting my lake place. I would like to address a couple of things that you mentioned. First, I do own all three houses which are identical with regards to floor plan and interior furnishings. This winter we will be building a firepit and patio directly behind the other two houses for more entertainment space. The patio and firepit that exists now is on shared property that belongs to all three houses and anyone who rents them can use it. All three houses have excellent views of the water and boathouse from the back deck and lakeside. We are situated in a private cove that has shallow water around the dock but suitable depths in the boatslips for getting fishing boats, pontoon boats and small runabouts into the boathouse. The lake vegetation is present from late June to mid September as you walk out the dock but we have an aquatic management service that keeps it treated so that access in and out with boats is easy during that time. The milfoil is around all shallow areas at Guntersville and is welcome to an extent by most because it makes our lake one of the top bass fishing reservoirs in the nation. You are correct that swimming at our dock is not ideal because of water depth and we are always quick to inform our guests of that when they inquire. Most guest bring a boat or rent a boat to navigate from the boathouse or surrounding boat ramps so they can swim or fish anywhere on the 69,000 acre lake. Lastly, the basketball court is a shared amenity and is accessible to all vacationers. We have no intent whatsoever to be deceiving with this vrbo listing. Our goal is to go above and beyond to see that our renters enjoy their stay at Lake Guntersville as I would wish for my own family. Based on all of our other reviews, constant compliments and repeat renters I would hope that we are accomplishing that goal. Amenities to be added in the near future are two patios/fire pits at lakeside and sundeck above the boathouse. We recently upgraded to satellite TV with all flat screens and new faster internet service. We also work weekly to keep the landscape and outdoor spaces well manicured for our guests. Thanks again
