House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, 11 Sleeps

The Lonely Planet guidebook for Baja and Los Cabos says " Mulege is

the prettiest little town in Baja" We are located in the Oasis Rio

Baja which is on the south side of the river midway between the

village and the sea. A pleasant 1 mile walk along the river either

way. We have pictures and a full description of the Casa on our

website, please email me and I will direct you to it. It is

beautiful with a good river view. You can watch the

ospreys and pelicans fishing in the river after a day of enjoying

the many things to do around Mulege.

Perfect!

We came as a group for the first time to Mulege. The house was a perfect fit and the owner was generous and kind. We were going to camp but are so glad we didn't . The house is located between all of the best beaches and is just a few minutes from town. The area was very safe. The Home was clean and fit all of us with room to spare (11 in group). The owner lent us his kayaks the whole time we were there and the kids loved them. The bedrooms have A/C which worked well although we only needed them a few times.
We were aware that we were going to the middle of the desert in southern Baja so we were prepared to rough it . But we had everything we needed and we very happy and will surely come again. The snorkeling on the north side of the river outlet was the best . Mick in the dive shop in town was a beautiful source of information and a big help.

We have four kayaks and bicycles for our guests use. Snorkling is very good right at the lighthouse or my favorite spot, Punta Prieta, is just a few miles away. Whale watching at San Ignacio Lagoon in January February and March is an absolutely amazing experience. You aren't guaranteed to pet one but you most likely will and when a mother lifts her calf out of the water so you can see and touch it you know you have met an intelligent and proud creature. Drop dead gorgeous Bahia Concepcion is 7 miles away and swimming with the whale sharks is incredible. The cave paintings in the nearby mountains are 7,000 years old, the oldest in all of the Americas and a very scenic trip. Please see our website for more.
