Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 8 Sleeps

There are not many places like this anymore! When I was a child, my

parents used to take us to the beach every summer. You could spend

the day at the beach picking up shells and filling up a bucket or

two. You could build a sand castle and it would still be there the

next day. You could build a fire on the beach and roast

I thought I would never be able to share that kind of beach vacation

with my children, that is until we discovered Cape San Blas.

The Cape is a 20 mile strip of land that curves out into the Gulf of

Mexico. The tip of the Cape is home to St. Joseph Peninsula State;

rated America's #1 beach by Dr. Beach. There is almost no commercial

development. There are no high-rise buildings.

Our beach home is part of a quadruplex and is named Aqua Blast. We

are located on the bottom floor with breathtaking, unobstructed

from every window. With a spacious 1300 square feet of living space,

it is perfect for a beach getaway!

The large covered deck (50 feet from the edge of the water)

overlooks the pristine, white sandy beach. You can even watch the dolphins

playing in the morning while you enjoy your coffee.

The kitchen has a tile floor, new cabinets, stainless steel

appliances, and Corian countertops, including the bar area that

accomodates seating for four people. The adjoining dining area has

an antique art deco table that seats six people. For chilly nights,

there is even a fireplace.

There is hardwood floors in the living and dining room with carpet in the bedrooms.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, cable TV and

a private bath. There is also a full size futon for additional sleeping. The second bedroom has a queen size bed with cable

TV with DVD. The third bedroom has twin beds and a cable TV with DVD.

WiFi is available at no additional cost as well as unlimited long distance.

The laundry room has a full size washer and dryer and is on the

parking level along with a hot and cold shower. We have also

numerous beach chairs for your enjoyment.

The sunsets here are like no other. I don't think a photograph can

ever capture their true beauty. At Aqua Blast, you will have a front

row seat. Escape to the Cape before the developers find the

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time at Aqua Blast. The view is spectacular. The beach is so close. It is only a few steps to the water. You could not ask for a better place. The beach house was awesome. All the neccesities of home. It was very comfortable and restful. We had a great time snorkeling in the bay and the shops in Apalachacola were great. We could not resist picking up a couple of reminders of our trip. The convenience store down the street was great. It make it very easy to go there for last minute items and they were acceptionally reasonably priced considering drive back into Port St. Joe. The amenities were the best. You did a wonderful job decorating. It really added to the atmosphere. All in all an awesome experience. We can't wait to come back.

"Old Florida" at its BEST!

"Old Florida" at its BEST!
  • 5 of 5
After several trips to the Destin/Panama City Beach area we decided to try something new and I found Aqua Blast in Cape San Blas. Not knowing anything about the area I did a little research and found a lot of descriptions that used the words "Old Florida", "uncommercial", "laid back" and "no high rises". We loved the idea of a condo on the beach and decided to go for the new experience. We had two adults and four teenagers. Two 18 year old boys and two 16 year old girls. I will say we were a little apprehensive for the kids after hearing there was spotty cell service at best and that the regular go-karts and mini-golf and Starbucks were non-existent. When we arrived we saw that the condo pics were good but that it was even better in person. The location couldn't have been better. The deck overlooking the dune and beach was ideal. A small privacy wall was installed which made the deck private from the other units in the building. It was the perfect spot for watching the waves with your morning coffee or viewing the sunset with your evening cocktail! A 30 second walk and you have sand between your toes and 30 seconds from there and you are standing in the water. The beach was gorgeous, people were very friendly. We were there over the 4th of July and the beach wasn't crowded but still felt "alive". Fireworks along the beach were fantastic ... just other families like us enjoying the holiday. Kids didn't miss a thing ... in fact they loved it too. They met other kids their age, hung out around bonfires at night. Played beach games and walked to the nearby convenience store and ice cream stand and went scalloping in the bay. The facts: Condo was great ...clean and well appointed. Anything you needed was there from kitchen items to beach chairs. Plenty of linens. Location was fantastic ... beautiful! No traffic! Milllions of stars at night. "Old Florida" is now my favorite description and where I want to spend any future Florida vacation, preferably enjoying a beverage on the porch of Aqua Blast! Thanks Edye!

Perfect Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5
This was the perfect place for our family vacation with a toddler and preschooler. It was awesome to be right on the beach with a gorgeous view. The sunsets were priceless. The family friendly atmosphere was wonderful. Thank you for sharing your special beach home! We especially loved the picnic table on the deck and privacy wall! (Great for bonus outdoor time with our little ones!)

Aqua Blast vacation

  • 5 of 5
Our week at Aqua Blast was fantastic. The property was clean and well-maintained, the listing photos were very accurate as to the property's appearance, and the fact that it was ON the beach was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the covered porch that allowed us to eat outside and enjoy the sunsets. I would definitely recommend this property to others and can't wait to get back.

Mice and roaches ruin the enjoyment

  • 2 of 5
Wish I could recommend this place. The location is good as well as the interior amenities but the property needs upkeep. Bedroom doors don't close, a window was broken in the living room, other windows were fogged and there was a large gap under the front door. Maybe that was where all the mice and roaches were coming from but who knows or cares when my mother and sister are screaming in the wee hours of the morning? A mouse actually ran across my hand in the middle of the night while I was in bed in the master bedroom. Both my mother and sister found multiple roaches in the two bedrooms across from the kitchen. So, unless you like enjoy killing cockroaches and chasing/killing mice, you may want to consider other accommodations in the area for a worry free vacation. And to top off our "eventful" trip it took multiple requests and over a month to get my security deposit check returned.

Owner's Response: The front door had been adjusted before this guests arrival so that it did not drag on the floor. Apparently, it had been raised too much creating a gap between the floor and the door. We have never had this problem before with mice and bugs. As soon as the guest told me the problems she was having, I had both my pest control company and my maid service my unit. In fact, the pest control company went there several times. I personally stayed there (for 10 days) right after this guest left and did not see any mice or any evidence of mice. But I did find a broken chair after this guest checked out. As far as doors not closing, I am not sure what doors as all the doors closed perfectly fine when I was there. Because this is a beachfront property, the high humidity can effect the doors and the windows. I sent the security deposit back anyway, within 30 days of this guest checking out. I was unable to send it back sooner because I was out of town and I told this guest that I would send it back when I returned.
I have many positive reviews over the years and I also have many guests that return year after year and are happy to call Aqua Blast their beach home for a week or even longer.

A&M Newlywed Getaway Beach Trip

A&M Newlywed Getaway Beach Trip
  • 5 of 5
My wife and I looked to find a quiet beach far from the crowds and tourist traps and we discovered it here. We had to walk no further than the 100' over the barrier dunes on the boardwalk and there was sun, surf, and beautiful sand. I had never before stayed at the closest house to the ocean with a wide open view to the beach so this was a very special beach trip for me and my new bride. The fish were bighting all four days I casted and we ate pompano for dinner one night and could have eaten a Spanish mackerel another if I'd known what it was before I tossed it back. I also caught dozens of lady fish and saw school after school of whiting, other fish I did not recognize, and dozens of dolphins. We also enjoyed viewing the hundreds of gulls, pipers, cranes, and pelicans. Inside the condo was great, too. We appreciated the fully complimented kitchen, cable TV, DVD collection, stereo, hardwood floors, and comfortable bed. Our neighbors for the week were all friendly. We even took a little bike ride into the nearby state park on the easily accessible, paved bike trail that skirted the road. Peaceful nights gave great nightly rests and opening the blinds in the morning revealed another beach day to go out and enjoy. Overall, it was a great condo, great beach, and sported great wildlife. We really enjoyed the stay all around. One more perk was the nearby convenience store, fairly-priced tackle shop, and gas station on Cape San Blas Rd. all within in a ½ mile or less drive, walk, or bike ride.
