House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 8 Sleeps

The Agape House is a modern single-family home with an in-town

location. The casual beach style makes this 3-bedroom, 2-bath bungalow an

ideal rental for a family or a group of friends.

The home has a great 'beach house' feel with: laminate floors, light-colored carpet, bright walls, energy-efficient windows, ceiling fans, bathroom upgrades and wall art. An efficient central air conditioning and heating system will keep you comfortable no matter the season! Two water heaters make sure you never run out of hot water. The most recent upgrade was a new septic system in 2013.

Location

Activity and Interests

The Agape House's location couldn’t be more convenient. Just two

short blocks to Maddox Boulevard, the main road connecting the city

with the beaches of Assateague Island. Walk around the corner to the Dollar Store for necessities you may have forgotten, eat at the many restaurants along the road, and enjoy the short stroll to the The Creamery, the best local ice cream

parlor.

Head the other direction and you’re on Main Street in no time.

Stroll the boardwalk along the Chincoteague Channel, the site of

many civic events and festivals. Check out a current-run movie at

the 1930s’era single screen cinema; and if your timing is right and

you’re here on the Second Saturday of every month – enjoy the Art

Stroll.

Be sure to bring your bikes, or rent them here, as the island is

flat and it’s a great way to see the sites and get some exercise.

It’s a pleasant 20-minute bike ride to Assateague Island and a view of

the ponies and the unspoiled beaches.

The pace of life on Chincoteague is refreshingly slower than many of

the mid-Atlantic resort communities, not much in the way of concrete

and a “hi-rise” is all of three stories. The infrastructure of this

7 mile by 2 mile island just won’t support a lot of development and

that’s what folks like about it.

Notes:

  • Home Amenities The Master bedroom suite includes a two-person whirlpool tub in the bathroom for a soothing respite from your days’ activities. It has a Queen-size bed.The over-sized second bedroom has two queen-sized beds and a comfy reading chair; and the third bedroom has a full bed and is located at the front of the house allowing for some privacy for the teen or in-law. The second bath has a new tub with Italian tile to the ceiling. There is beadboard wainscoting around the rest of the room that works well with the cultured marble vanity top and mirror. The long ‘galley’ kitchen has plenty of counter space for those seafood feasts that you’ll want to have once you see the selection of locally caught crab, shrimp, clams and oysters. Time at the beach is not complete without a good Seafood Feast. A large dining table welcomes large gatherings. An outdoor propane grill and Outdoor Shower enclosure are true essentials at the beach! Eating outdoors at the picnic table is a great way to finish off a day of outdoor activities. A gravel drive accommodates two cars and there is on-street parking for additional guests.
