Cottage, 1 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, 4 Sleeps
Small Cape May cottage rentals that overlook the popular 19th century Victorians that Cape May is known for. Located 715 Columbia Ave, Cape May, NJ, a wonderful sea town escape. This sweet retreat is a perfect vacation rental suitable for 2-4 and is a bright, immaculate and charming vacation rental. The cottage has 3 walls of light (including stained glass). We have fully renovated inside and outside, but retained the charm. There are modern amenities such as CAC, TV with cable and DVD, wireless Internet, updated bathroom and 3-year-old white kitchen. We are a 3-4 minute walk from the beach, restaurants, shops and attractions. Perfect for single or family vacations. Children welcome. Outside there are enclosed hot/cold shower, grills, picnic and relaxing areas and bike rack.

Great Location - Great Price!
The cottage was perfect for my husband & I. I think it would also be great for a family with young children - the cottage sleeps 4. There is a queen sized bed and a twin trundle all in the one bedroom.
The cottage is in a great location - just blocks from the beach and from Washington Street Mall. Our preferred method of transportation in Cape May is our feet - whether walking or biking - and this location was perfect for that!
The cottage itself was immaculate - definitely one of the cleanest beach houses I have rented. When we arrived the owner Sally and her cleaning crew were onsite putting the finishing touches on our cottage as well as the other properties. We bumped into Sally a couple times during our week-long stay and she was always smiling and asking if we had anything & everything we might need.
I would definitely stay there again and cannot recommend it highly enough!
Wonderful vacation cottage in Cape May
She sent a lovely welcome letter to prepare us with all we needed and what we would need for arrival and departure. We frankly didnt see anyone the entire time we were there and it was so peaceful. The property was very clean, cool, and even looked renovated in some areas (new shower and bathroom and kitchen was so clean). We made pancakes for breakfast and brought other food with us which was so convenient and a money saver.
The cottage is located two easy walking blocks from the beach, shops, bike rentals and so much more!! Sally provides ample beach chairs, there is an outdoor shower if you are sandy from the beach and there are at least three grills available if you want to enjoy dinner outside. You dont need your car unless you want to drive out of town or see the other side of the island, and parking is free on the residential street just outside the front door.
On our last night the area power went out and we werent sure what to do, but after getting in touch with Sally she directed us to flashlights and neighbors if needed. The power was restored in about two hours, but we werent worried and felt safe and comfortable.
We were sad to leave and hope to return next season and maybe invite other family or friends to join as they have a larger cottage just next to the one where we stayed.
Cape May charm
You just can't beat this property's location. Once you park your car (free on street) it is a convenient walk to the beach or downtown. Shopping, tours, restaurants, night life, grocery store.... it's all a short stroll away.
This is a tiny cottage. I like to spread out my stuff, so while this cottage sleeps 4, I would probably find a foursome in this space a bit crowded, especially with all our belongings. The beds are a queen and a daybed with a pull out from under mattress. (There is a folding room divider that can separate the beds) The daybed is the main seating area for watching TV. The owner was a terrific hostess and loaned me an item that I had forgotten. The facilities were nicely decorated and the kitchen adequately stocked. I love to cook and when I requested some special kitchen equipment/supplies, the owner cheerfully provided them. I'll come back for the convenience!
