Wonderful experience. Will definitely go back!

My fiancée and I had an amazing weekend here in October. The view is gorgeous, and the deck made for really nice star gazing from the cozy hot tub. The house was immaculate, everything was as advertised.

The customer service was top notch. Susan helped me make it a very romantic experience for my fiancée. This is actually where we got engaged. The entire weekend was perfect, I really can't recommend this place highly enough. We are definitely planning on returning here in the future.

Cozy Cottage

  • 5 of 5
My boyfriend and I decided to stay in the cottage for a romantic getaway and we absolutely loved it. The cottage is close enough to the downtown that we were able to get there within 15 minutes and pretty easily once you figure out the route the first time.

The cottage itself is immaculately clean and very cozy for a romantic getaway. The jacuzzi is locate on an upper deck that is raised right above the treeline, giving you a great view. We loved hanging out in that jacuzzi. The kicthen is also stocked with supplies and dishes, so we were able to cook dinner together the first night. Bed was comfortable and the shower was really nice.

We loved staying here and would like to stay here again the next time we visit Asheville. I recommend this cottage to visitors looking for a more secluded vacation, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown.

This place is amazing. Close to downtown but far enough to feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. Great hot tub to enjoy a relaxing night on the deck. You can hear the river, which makes it even better. The owner and property manager are responsive and accommodating. Pretty comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. Great place.

Perfect Cabin!

  • 5 of 5
My husband, my English bulldog, and I truly enjoyed our stay here. The pictures don't do it justice. The cottage was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It was very private exactly as we wanted. The drive up to the cabin was steep and made us nervous but thankfully the owner was nearby & was helpful. Cottage is very close to the French broad river and we enjoyed visiting it several times. The hot tub was very relaxing. Even caught some shooting stars while on the back deck at night. Cottage was very close to Asheville and Weaverville. Had a great stay!

Cozy, Clean and Quiet getaway

  • 5 of 5
Only minutes away from Asheville but a private mountain retreat. If you want to be away from it all but still have the convenience of great restaurants and activities near by then this is the place for you. It was very clean and well appointed just as advertised. Will definitely stay here next time we visit Asheville.

Excellent experience.

  • 5 of 5
We stayed here for a long weekend and had an excellent experience. The manager and owner were very helpful. The cottage itself is nice, newer construction, well maintained, clean and nicely furnished. Plenty of dishes, silverware and cookware for a family of 4 to eat several meals. The setting is very secluded. You don't see anyone and it is very quiet. The road up to the cottage is good, it is gravel on dirt, but it is steep. Keep up your speed if using front wheel drive, or use 4 wheel drive. The first time up, unsure where we were going, we slowed down too much and got stuck. The owner came promptly and rescued us, driving it easily for us. Once we knew to keep up the speed, we had no issues, even with some rain. The hot tub was a nice touch after kayaking on the French Broad River. We went to Asheville several times and the trip was an easy one and scenic. We would look forward to staying here again if we get the chance.

Activity and Interests

The Asheville area is known for it's proximity to the Blue Ridge

Parkway and the Biltmore Estate, and

we are but a 20 minute drive from both. Also within that distance are

numerous shopping areas,

antique markets, superb restaurants, golf courses, museums, live

theater, movies, and hiking and

fishing areas. If you prefer quaint village life, then explore the

wonderful town of Weaverville,

only 10 minutes away. There you will find wonderful shopping

opportunities, as well as one of the

best bakeries you'll ever encounter!

  • Our cottage has a full kitchen equipped with range, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, microwave, toaster, 12-cup coffee maker, and blender. There are table settings for 8, as well as wine and champagne glasses. We also furnish all pots, pans, and bake ware. Spices, condiments, and coffee filters are included as well. If you prefer to cook out, there's a gas grill complete with grilling tools. Maps, menus and written directions make it easy to find all the restaurants, shopping areas and attractions you may want to take in during your stay. Games such as Scrabble and Trivial Pursuit bring fun to both day and night. And speaking of night, enjoy a complimentary bottle of champagne while relaxing on the covered porch as you star-gaze or listen to the peaceful sounds of the French Broad River. Then go to sleep on your queen-size bed, complete with a 4" memory foam topper. Our cottage is equipped with central air conditioning for the warmer days of the year, as well as ceiling fans for those times when a gentle breeze would be perfect. Thanks to skylights in the bathroom (yes, bathroom!) and loft, there's always a feeling of warmth and sunshine throughout. A washer/dryer is included for your convenience. And for your entertainment, we offer satellite TV with over 150 channels from which to choose! There is also a DVD/VCR player, complete with a video library. We also offer wi-fi!! If you are bringing children, a crib, high chair, stroller, and car seat are available. And for older children (and adults, too!), there's a great rope swing outside the back entrance.
