Second bedroom has 2-twin beds and adjoining bath. Second bedroom faces Intracoastal Waterway. Living

room faces Gulf of Mexico and has pull-out coach, TV, stereo and adjoining dining room. Unit is heated and full

AC, cable (100 plus channels) and local telephone service.

Unit is furnished in modern country style--all funrishings Ethan Allen. Kitchen includes dishwasher, fridge, stove,

microwave and all necessary dishes, utensils, pots and pans. Full washer and dryer in unit laundry room.

February stay at the Tides

The Tides is known as the premier condo facility on the beach, and the overall complex is true to that reputation. Because of that, we were confident that we would have better than average facilities in the condo that we were renting. We were disappointed by the lack of amenities in the condo. It was a stripped down, minimally maintained facility. Lighting was so dim that we had to purchase a light for reading in the living room and had to move lamps around to be able to have lighting to read in bed at night. The master power was shut down while the unit was not occupied causing the tv's to go into dead mode. They had to be continuously reprogramed and the CD player was less than user friendly. Although the picture shows a beautiful dining room table, it was covered with an oil cloth to protect it from wear and tear. Glasswear was minimal and scummy which we resolved by buying juice glasses and refurbishing the scummy ones. The main floor area of the unit was cleaned, but when we had to search under the couch for a missing shoe, we found dirt and dried food, and there was visible dirt under the chairs in the living room.The fact that there are so few pictures of the unit should have been a sign to us to look further. Hopefully some of these issues will be resolved before the next renters arrive.

Owner's Response: This review comes as a shock, as did the original complaints. This tenant was offered a very good rental rate and we rent this unit with an on site manager so if there are any issues, the issues can be addressed immediately. This renter did not notify us of any issues until the end of the rental period, so we were unable to mitigate any of the issues. As such, we, the owners, purchased a generous gift card to a local steak restaurant (the renters said they liked steak and similar cuisine) to let the renters know that we took their issues seriously. We have since addressed the issues.

It is made very clear to our renters that we provide the local property support and it is there for their convenience and to make sure they have an enjoyable experience.


Activity and Interests

Swimming, beach walks, golf, fine dining, boat rentals, casino boats, fishing and more are all on site or within

walking distance to the Tides Beach Club.

  • All grounds and association amenities including , 3 pools and spas plus beach are availible to unit renter. Grounds are beautifully landscaped and include secure gated access. Area includes many restaurants, hotels, shops and grocery stores. Many amenities such as golf, restaurants and sites ( Bird Santuary) are within walking distance. The Tides is just 1.5 hours drive from Walt Disney World, 40 minutes to Tampa, 20 minutes to St. Petersburg and 1 hour to Sarasota.
