What a wonderful place

  • 5 of 5
We were very impressed with the house. It was clean and well maintained. The rooms were good sized and the beds were very comfortable. If we were going to be in the area again we would not hesitate to rent this house again. We would recommend it to anyone who is going to be in this area. It was very close to the Monhegan Boat line there was a general store and ice cream palor a very short walk down the street. It is in a working lobster village so if you are looking for night life this isn't the place for you. If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax this is your place. Fantastic sunsets can be seen from the livingroom, kitchen and on the deck. We were extremely satisfied.

Notes:

  • Built in 1971, this three-bedroom house with large living-dining room and eat-in kitchen is enhanced enormously by a deck that wraps around three sides, affording outdoor living space with spectacular harbor views. A grassy lawn slopes past an old (but recently restored) baitshed to an active lobsterman's dock on the edge of Herring Gut Harbor. Inside, bookshelves offer biographies, mysteries, novels, and histories, and a collection of videos, as well as some games and puzzles, provide evening entertainment. Port Clyde is a place to rest and relax, and to forget the cares of the world.
