This beautiful home has it all. Immaculate, fully stocked with everything you could possibly want or need, perfect location. It will be my go to anytime I can afford to visit mu daughter while she's at UofA. Bonnie, the owner, was so helpful, gracious and accommodating, I could not thank her enough!

Needed a place close to the University of Arizona while we were in town for parent's weekend. This place was outstanding! Bonnie and Steve made sure that we had everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend with our son. The kitchen was stocked with every cooking utensil needed to provide home cooked meals for our "tired of fast food" college kid and the private patio had the perfect dining area/ ambiance to enjoy each others company while we dined. The wonderful pictures of Casa Bonita do not do it justice! The hawk in the picture even showed up! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!!

Owner's Response: It was so nice to have Cecilio and Irene here for parents' weekend at the University. We look forward to seeing them again as their son makes his way through his college years. It gives us pleasure when our guests enjoy the property for its intended use - enjoyment and relaxation. If only we could summon up the neighborhood hawk upon demand so everyone could experience the thrill of watching him bathe in the fountain.

Tucson, AZ - Casa Bonita

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I have just completed our second stay at Casa Bonita. We love this place! The location near the University of Arizona provides us a short walk to the bookstore on campus as well as the outstanding museum, performance hall, and sports complex. Shopping for organic foods is but a short drive away at Trader Joe's, Sprouts, and Whole foods. In addition to our reading and dietary needs, we require good walking trails as part of our daily regime. Casa Bonita is a short drive away from the Rillito River walking/biking trail which can be accessed via Rio Vista Park. The accomodations in the rental give us all we rquire for a home away from home.....a fully equipped kitchen, huge TV, wifi, large closet and drawer space, comfortable queen bed, washer & dryer, off street parking, and a wonderful sun-lit private patio with a couch for siestas. Bonnie & Steve are very kind and generous hosts who make their guests feel like welcomed friends. It is a good place to be! We shall return for our time in the sun at Casa Bonita next winter.....

Owner's Response: We enjoy meeting new people and making new friends, and in that vein do all that we can to assure that our guests are comfortable and feel at home. When we receive a review such as this, we are reassured our efforts are worthwhile. With guests that return for repeated visits, we truly do feel like we're welcoming friends back to their home away from home. We look forward to Liz and Charlie's next visit.

Perfect Place to Stay for UA Parents or Anyone

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at Casa Bonita while we settled our son in for grad school at UA. The photos of the casita were great, but it's so much more impressive in person. It is beautifully decorated and features all the amenties we needed. The back patio area is beautiful and peaceful and we would have loved the summer weather to have been a bit cooler so we could have used it more. We appreciated the sleeper sofa and the spacious floorplan when our son was unexpectedly delayed from moving into his apartment for several days. So much better than a hotel room! The kitchen is well furnished for cooking and even includes many staples so we were able to cook a few family meals. Bonnie even kindly offered me access to her herb garden! We also appreciated the convenience of a washer and dryer as there were new sheets, towels etc to be laundered for our son's apartment. It's an easy walk to the shop and restaurants near the University from the casita and we found the location convenient for day trips to Mt Lemmon, Sabino Canyon, Tombstone, San Xavier and Saguaro National Parks. Bonnie and Steve were the perfect hosts -- unobtrusive, yet available. We look forward to a future stay at Casa Bonita.

Owner's Response: We're always pleased when our guests are pleased. We especially enjoy the visits of families coming to enroll at UA. Our goal is to offer comfortable, relaxing and convenient accommodations for parents getting students settled into their new life. And it's such an added bonus when mom and dad have time to acquaint themselves with and enjoy the beautiful greater Tucson area where their son or daughter will be making their new home.

Our home away from home

  • 5 of 5
Coming to visit your kids at the U of A? Working on your dissertation? Wanting to experience life in the Southwest? You have found it with Casa Bonita. It offers a private, safe, comfy, central location with close proximity to the U of A, downtown Tucson, and points beyond. We spent November and December of 2010 in this charming adobe casa, and put it through the paces of holiday entertaining. The kitchen is one of the best outfitted from our experience with rental units. Bonnie and Steve were wonderful hosts and looked after our needs promptly and with good humour. We truly enjoyed their company during our stay. We highly recommend that you book early.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5
Just got back from a 4 day stay here visiting our son for parents weekend at U of A. This is a beautiful house with a wonderful private backyard. We loved listening to the birds in the morning having coffee. The kitchen is very well stocked and nice touches throughout such as organic shampoo etc. My son stayed with us which was nice for him to get a break from the dorm and for us to have a "homey" place to hang out with him. It's very beautiful and clean. Didn't get to meet Bonnie but Steve was very helpful. I would definitely stay again...Much nicer than the hotel I stayed in last time. Great job.
