Updated: Sep 13, 2014
Cottage, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, 6 Sleeps

The newly renovated Jepsen Heritage Cottage, is located off State Rt. 54A at (formerly 42) 420 Crescent Beach Dr, at the northern end of the West branch of Keuka Lake about 1.5 miles from Branckport and 10 miles from Penn Yan. It is in a quiet family community with both seasonal cottages and year-round homes.

Guests of the cottage will enjoy an unobstructed, picturesque view of the western branch of Keuka Lake from a 2012 rebuilt enclosed porch. This includes a view of Bluff Point and the eastern branch which is nearly 10 miles away.

The cottage is situated on a level location from the 3 car parking area on the north, to the cottage, and then gently slopes to the water's edge. There are two small steps to the north entrance and a 2 step entrance to a newly constructed outside deck, on the the west.

The 55 - foot frontage is a fine-pebble beach which provides easy

access to shallow water. This area is perfect for families who desire wading or swimming, or just relaxing with a good book.

The water depth increases very gradually, from approximately 20" at the end of the dock to 4' deep at 130 feet from shore. The buoys mark the drop off to the deeper waters of the lake and are a favorite spot for fishermen from around the world.

Inside the buoys s a no-wake zone, giving safe swimming and recreation for families.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin, it really was great to relax with a marvelous view of the lake and watching the geese come and go. Also the mallards were beautiful. Not to forget the King Fisher bird who landed around the top of the flag pole, end of pier, and even the housetop to dive for his food! It was a relaxing time on your enclosed sun porch enjoying God's marvelous handiwork. Sunrises, sunsets, fall colors ...loved it all and hope to return!

Awesome house for our family vacation!!

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at this wonderful cottage on the lake for a week with our 2 children ages 9 & 6 and we can't say enough about it. The first night we were there, we knew it was going to be a great week when we used the fire pit to roast marshmallow for s'mores and watched all the fireworks going off around the amazing lake. The owners were so helpful with any questions we had prior to our stay since we had never been to the area before. Waking up to the sound of the lake was so beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed going in every chance we got, the water was so warm and we brought our own tubes and just floated around, it was HEAVEN! The cottage was so well stocked and the owners had instructions on how to use everything which was extremely helpful. The cottage was also centrally located to Pen Yan to go to the supermarket, ice cream parlor or any other needs. We really had the best time ever and can't thank the owners enough for allowing us to rent their home.

Quaint cottage, great views!

  • 5 of 5
We loved our stay here!! It was perfect for my family. It's not too far from groceries and restaurants but far enough from large crowds and activity that goes on further down the lake. We rented a pontoon from the marina around the corner, it was perfect!!! The cottage was stocked with everything you need to feel at home, and I do mean everything!! It was pretty hot our last few days on the lake, but the cottage stayed cool. There is a view of the lake from almost every room. My mom grew up on the lake and was there for her high school reunion, she stayed in the room that has the best view of the lake, and she opened her blinds at night to go to sleep with the sounds of the lake. There were 2 swans that stayed a few houses down from us, so beautiful to watch them in the evening on the dock.
I could go on and on....my favorite part? The wild strawberries growing in the front yard!! Amazing!! (we live in Arizona, nothing that sweet grows wild there)
Some of the neighbors live there year round and are so friendly.
We will definatly be back!!!

Tranquil Weekend Retreat

  • 5 of 5
My sisters and I rented this cottage for a weekend getaway and were we ever pleased! The cottage is full of charming, homey touches and had everything we needed for a relaxing time away. Although we enjoyed the entire place, we constantly found ourselves migrating to the enclosed porch where we could sit and watch the lake - the birds, the boats, the sunset - and soak in the peace of the beautiful surroundings. This place is an absolute gem!

Keuka Lake Wonder

  • 5 of 5
Exactly as advertised and since this is the owner's vacation home everything was in excellent condition. Everything imaginable (save linens & towels) was provided .. and I do mean everything. It is like renting a home and not just a vacation place.
We slept on the porch which is so close to the lake it's like being in a boat. We had many restful nights falling asleep listening to the soothing lapping of the waves.
We found the nearby Antique Inn to be a good place to eat with the locals. For finer dining there is the Snug Harbor Restaurant (dinner) and Bully Hill Winery (lunch)to the south and many restaurants in nearby Penn Yan to the north.
As far as things to do there is the gorge at Watkins Glen and plenty of wineries to visit, as well as a host of other activities.
I would most definitely recommend this property to a friend and my wife & I will be staying here again.

Perfect Cottage Getaway!

  • 5 of 5
Wonderful cottage in a fantastic location! Cottage is very well equipped with everythink you'd ever need for a comfortable stay. Warm, shallow water was great for swimming for the kids, and great fishing opportunities kept Dad busy! Cottage is also centrally located in the Finger Lakes region for exploring parks, wineries, and the small towns in the area. We had a great time!
