Condo, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, 8 Sleeps

This Ski -on, Ski-off 3 bedroom 3 bathroom condo is our pride and joy! 'The Lodges' are regarded as one of the most prestigious developments in the Killington area and offer top quality accommodation and privileged apres ski facilities for the discerning skier.

The location of 'The Lodges' affords the luxury of a genuine ski-on/ski-off experience. Be first to the top of the mountain! You are just steps from the Sunrise Lift.

Our unit is approximately 300' from the Sunrise lift across a level area. Although you could ski across it's quicker to walk across than ski because of the flat ground at this point. Ski home right to the door.

(subject to amount of snow - too much as well as too little!)

Interior Comforts

There has been no expense spared in making this a truly executive unit. The large living room area features an imported 'L' shaped leather sofa. We have installed High Def 43'TV. DVD player and a Hi-Fi system. We have now added full WiFi facilities.

Each of the three large bedrooms has an imported Italian King size bed (Cal King) and each bedroom also has its own luxury bathroom with granite counter tops and twin sinks.

We have also supplied two quality fold-away beds for those extra guests

Each bedroom has it's own large HD flat screen TV's.

The gourmet kitchen in this unit features a designer stainless steel appliance package, cherry cabinets, granite counter tops and slate floors.

These are truly top-end, $1/2 Million + units and take some beating for executive quality

This unit is really superb and is located next to the Sunrise Chair Lift and Sports Center, providing you with the owner privileges that you deserve. (We provide you with exclusive swipe-cards for privileged free access and exclusive useage - not open to the public)

At the end of a busy day on the slopes enjoy the large indoor pool (very warm in winter!!), the large hot tub, the steam room, the sauna, the well equipped gymnasium and new from 2013 there is a 20 person outdoor hot tub.

You can even pick up a light meal at the restaurant (Seasonal) Open 11am to 300pm for lunches and additionally on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings for dinner.

This condo is ideal for three couples as there are very few 3- bed, 3-bath units and even fewer with such a spectacular location and with these facilities on offer.

Do the math! What would three hotel rooms cost? Look at the nightly rates at The Killington Grand or other Killington Hotels.

Ski-on ski-off and avoid the crowds and stay at 'The Lodges'!

Summer in Killington

Just because the snow has melted and the skiers have all gone home, it doesn't mean the Killington Region shuts down, in fact it comes alive. When the green grass begins to sprout, the air gets a little warmer, and the days get a little longer, thoughts turn to the great outdoors, summer activities, and unforgettable Vermont vacation experiences. With flowing streams, hidden waterfalls, secluded lakes, quaint villages, breathtaking views, covered bridges, green hills and cool breezes - the summer seems endless.

The Killington Region has many unique areas to hike and explore, with trails for all ages and levels. If you prefer biking you can tour the region along country roads, scenic Route 100, or ride Killington's mountain trails.

Experience a fly fishing adventure in the heart of the Green Mountains. Play a relaxing round of golf at nearby Killington golf course, or take a cool swim in our outdoor sparkling pool. Go for a swim in one of the many lakes and rivers located nearby. There are a few world class rivers which offer some of the best fly fishing rivers in the entire northeast. Native Eastern Brook Trout are in the smaller streams of the Killington area, and huge rainbow and native brown trout await in the Vermont rivers such as the White and Ottaquechee Rivers.

The Lodges is available year round and we offer excellent rates for longer term summer packages.

We will also consider long-term seasonal rentals - why not take the whole SUMMER OR winter!

Photographs are great but sometimes don’t tell the whole story!

We have now placed some video footage of ‘The Lodges’ on ‘YouTube’ and hopefully this will give you a better idea of what our place has to offer. It also shows you the superb owner-privilege facilities at Sunrise Center, which as you will see, is right next to the Sunrise Lift.

Search YouTube using '1057ken and you should be able to access these videos

great condo

  • 5 of 5
Most importantly our dog is welcome. Wonderful, spacious, new, clean condo, with big comfy king beds. Three beds, three baths. Right next to the Sunrise chairlift for easy access to start the day and ski right to front door at the end of the day. The spa is next door too, with lunch at the restaurant, swimming and hot tub. We walk every morning on the snow shoe trails with our dog, then drive over to Killington for dinner or cook up a storm in the fabulous kitchen. Wi Fi has no access code so it worked perfectly. Huge washer and dryers get everything clean for another day of fun.

Snowshoe Trekking and Nordic Skiing

The special location of Sunrise Mountain Village has something few vacation communities have to offer its owners and guests. Location, location, location- provides opportunities that will please everyone who loves the back country and the wilderness. Now, after 15 years in the making, Sunrise has taken its extensive back country trail system and program to the next level of service. We have demonstrated our ability and dedication in providing our users with an outdoor adventure program where equipment and guidance are available throughout the winter.

The hours of maintaining the snowshoe, back country trails and alpine ski on/ski off trails has been a labor of love over the last 20 years for manager Greg LaBella.

Improving signage, updating the trail map, purchasing new equipment, and expanding terrain have been a constant effort of his over the years.

Outdoor exercise and rejuvenation is just out the back door of the Sports Center, which is the start of the Back Country Ski and snowshoe Trail System. This trail system has been designed and developed by Greg LaBella, our Sports Center Manager, and provides high elevation back country skiing and snowshoe trekking. Nestled in the shadow of Bear Mountain to the north, Smith Peak to the south and Shrewsbury Peak to the west is Sunrise and the Sunrise Trail System. The trail system features 50 kilometers (about 22 miles) of marked trails and 2,000 acres of off trail bushwhacking terrain. The three prominent peaks offer the user great views in a vast, but contained area. Make no mistake; this is a wilderness area, lacking roads and hunting camps, just Madden Brook, Vista Peak, Allen Hill, Sunrise Mountain, and the Sunrise Trail System available to guide you through

this unspoiled adventure land.

This area offers the beginner Nordic skier access to gentle and moderate trails, while the advanced skier can set out to several breath-taking spots within Madden Basin.

Many trails have been established for snowshoe trekking; they are steep and narrow, and are sure to get the heart pumping.

The Sunrise Trail System is divided into several snowshoe trekking and backcountry skiing areas. These areas vary in difficulty and proximity to the Sports Center. The Cherry Knoll Trails have several loops for snowshoeing only, as these trails are narrow and steep. Venture down to the Falls Brook for a true climbing experience complete with ropes.

There are several village trails in and around Sunrise. These trails are groomed and suitable for novice cross country skiers. Trail loops allow the skier (or snowshoe trekker) to create a variety of routes of varying lengths and difficulty. More advanced cross country skiers will enjoy the Madden Basin Trails located to the south of the village behind Vista Peak. Some of these trail loops are groomed, while others are left in their natural state. Good conditioning and skiing skills are necessary for this rugged terrain.

Vista Peak stands tall in Madden Basin at 2,450 feet. This peak can be accessed by the Vista Peak Trial (Tr. # 12) or by bushwhacking through the woods from anywhere on the Madden Basin Loop (Tr. # 8). Conquering this peak gives you an awesome vista of the surrounding mountains, all over 3,000 feet.

The backcountry trails extend south to the base of Smith Peak and Shrewsbury Peak. A guided trek utilizing the ski lift can enhance this experience, and then changing into snowshoes will allow further exploration as you start to climb into the Shrewsbury-Smith Peak saddle. Take advantage of Greg's years of walking around in Madden Basin and schedule a guided tour; this is a great way to learn the terrain that is your backyard.

Greg has developed a deep love of this terrain and wants to share it with Sunrise owners and guests. We have state-of-the-art equipment available, as a complimentary amenity, including Nordic skis, snowshoes and ice skates.

The feedback from owners and guests has been positive and encouraging, sparking these most recent and significant additions to the program. With these additions, we are encouraging all owners to give us a try this winter, and enjoy something very special right in your own back yard.

Identifying our unique characteristics has created a new name to go along with our expanding programs. High Altitude Adventures, offering back country skiing, snowshoe trekking and guide service at Sunrise Mountain Village will begin operation this winter. Our location truly offers the user access to a trail system over 2500 feet in elevation and trails on 3 mountain peaks (Vista Peak, Cherry Knoll, and Sunrise Mountain). Additionally, there are trails in and around the village, and endless bushwhacking opportunities in the adjacent State Forest. The HAA guides are ready to get you better acquainted with the lay of the land in and around Sunrise.

The High Altitude Adventure Center has been set up outside the Sports Center adjacent to the pond, from which all trails originate. Equipment distribution, trail information and a hot cup of coco in a warm cozy shelter has been created here for your enjoyment.

The Wilderness Camp had a dry run last spring to rave reviews. We have enhanced this offering by setting up a winter shelter large enough for your group to get out of the cold, sit, relax and refuel on healthy snacks, soup, and a warm beverage. The Wilderness Camp is located just one mile from the HAA center in Madden Basin. Look for the red star on the trail map and make the trek to this truly unique oasis in the back country or h

  • We are part of the Sunrise Community - the most prestigious area in Killington. Sunrise Mountain Village offers an awesome array of hiking, snowshoeing, and skiing exploration from right outside your door. There are even sleigh rides on offer. ONE OF THE BIG ADVANTAGES OF STAYING AT 'THE LODGES' IS IT'S LOCATION. BEING PART OF THE SUNRISE COMMUNITY IT IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE SUNRISE CENTER AND LIFT. MORE IMPORTANTLY, YOU ARE ABLE TO USE THIS LIFT WITHOUT A LIFT PASS. THIS IS POTENTIALLY A BIG PLUS FOR NEW SKIERS AS IT MEANS YOU COULD PRACTICE YOUR SKILLS ON THIS SLOPE WITHOUT PAYING FOR A FULL MOUNTAIN PASS. YOU ARE RESTRICTED TO SKIING BACK DOWN 'BEARVIEW' THEN 'SUNDOG' OR 'RENDEZVOUS' BUT YOU DON'T NEED A LIFT PASS FOR THIS. (SEE THE KILLINGTON TRAIL MAP FOR DETAILS) THESE ARE GENTLE RUNS AND IDEAL FOR NEW SKIERS AND NOVICES WANTING TO GAIN CONFIDENCE. AFTER ALL, NOVICE SKIERS WILL BE PAYING FULL PRICE FOR A COMPREHENSIVE PASS ACCESSING ALL OF THE MOUNTAIN BUT THEY MAY, FOR A FEW DAYS AT LEAST, SEE ONLY NURSERY SLOPES - AND POSSIBLY CROWDED ONES AT THAT. MY VIEW IS THAT IT'S WORTH CONSIDERING PAYING FOR PRIVATE TUITION AND USING ONLY THE SUNRISE VILLAGE TRIPLE LIFT FOR YOUR FIRST FEW LESSONS --- BIG POTENTIAL SAVINGS!! Forget frozen or muddy gridlocked car parking lots and massive lines of skiers trying to get onto the mountain - get there first and ski right home at the end of the day! You can ski right up to your door! (subject to snow conditions and car parking lot condition) At the end of a busy day on the slopes enjoy the large indoor pool (very warm in winter!!), the hot tubs, the steam room, the sauna, the well equipped fitness center. Fitness Center The Fitness Center is equipped with two treadmills, Cybec Arc trainer, True Elliptical Trainer, two Cybec C-500 Cycles (one is recumbent), Stair Master PT 4000, a Concept II Rower, the popular Fitness Edge S4 Black Diamond Ski Machine, a Paramount Sports Trainer (eight stations), and free weights. You can even pick up a quality meal at Sunrise restaurant which is right inside the Sunrise Center a two minute walk from our condo.(Why cook??) The food is delicious, the staff look forward to getting to know you and serving you each day, the bartenders will learn your favorites, and fun and laughter will prevail along with lots of crayons and really great hot chocolate! Besides enjoying an outstanding lunch, a full-service bar, or a quiet evening dining in, catering and take-out options are also available. Lunch is always served seven days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Dinners are served Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. During Holiday Weeks, both lunch and dinner will be served daily. Subject to change.
