Ike and Liz are wonderful hosts! Because we arrived late they even provided us with garden fresh vegetables, homemade sauce, cornbread, and a bag of shrimp to cook for dinner. The tasty vegetables were better than anything you can find in a grocery store and most farmer's markets. The cottage was clean, beautiful, cozy, well equipped everything we possibly needed, and on a stunning beautiful lake that's great for swimming and canoeing. We wish we could spend more time there, and hope we'll be back someday soon!

Notes:

  • The bedroom has a Select-Comfort adjustable full mattress. The large, open living area has a comfortable futon/couch and a single bed and trundle. Linens & towels are included. There's also a glass-front woodstove for chilly nights. The kitchen has a gas oven/stove, microwave, fridge, basic herbs and spices and excellent well water. A great place for people who love to cook. The bathroom is roomy (with a celebrated Elvis shrine). Outside, a large deck has a gas BBQ, chairs and hooks for drying bathing suits and towels. There's a sandy crescent beach (great for kids), picnic table, canoe (paddles and pfds). For the asking: tent sites, a wood fired sauna, flowers and fresh produce in season.
