Perfect for resting and exploring mid-coast Maine

  • 5 of 5
This was our family's second stay here (3 kids 10-15 yrs, parents, grandparents). The place is new and clean, and extremely well-equipped for activities indoors and out. We enjoyed eating on the deck, relaxing on the dock and hammock, gliding around the pond in the kayak and canoe and, yes, even the wi-fi.

From this comfortable base, we took short drives to Camden, Belfast and Rockland for restaurants, shopping and galleries, and there are lots of other things going on in these towns as well. On longer trips, we went hiking on Swan Island (Richmond) and Sears Island (Searsport). The grandparents saw great work from Maine artists at CMCA in Rockport, the kids looked forward to the ice cream stands in Camden and all had fun at miniature golf.

In between, we relaxed and refreshed at this very comfortable home. Highly recommended!

Location

From the Owner

We had vacationed on Levenseller Pond at my uncle's cabin for many years. When he sold the property, we bought this property and built this house.

Activity and Interests

Cottage is less than 10 miles from both Camden and Belfast. Enjoy the harbors, visit the many small shops, museums, and art galleries. Go to a play or see a movie. Swim at one of the beaches or hike up Mt. Batty in Camden. Take a day sail out of either harbor. Visit Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor.
