House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 6 Sleeps

Comfy cottage with great frontage on small mountain lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Walk to South Toe River for great trout fishing. Also walk to golf course and restaurants, waterfalls, and Pisgah National Forest for great hiking opportunities.

Cool summer elevation at 3000' and only 2 miles off the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Less than an hours drive from Asheville, and 2 1/2 hours out of Charlotte.

3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, gas-log fireplace.

Short walk to hiking trails that lead to nearby Black Mountain Campground and Setrock Waterfalls. Or continue all the way to Mount Mitchell on the "Mountain to the Sea" trail, highest peak in the Eastern US.

Pristine waters of the South Toe River, cold and clear, just short walk away.

On-site pond (not for swimming or fishing, just pretty setting) and creek forms one border of property, and several acres of woods adjacent for kids to play.

Great Get Away Location !

  • 4 of 5
My wife and I spent the weekend at this great little cottage!

If you like sitting out on the porch this is a great location to do it. There is a small stream on the front side and wonderful little lake on the back. I cant say enough about the view.

You are just a short walk down to the South Toe River which is just awesome to walk and wade in. I did give the trout fishing a try and caught a few also.

The cabin has A/C in two of the bedrooms. We were there in Mid July and I really thought it may get uncomfortable but the cottage is shaded all around so the heat never presented a problem. THe house very comfortably furnished.

If you go, you need to keep in mind that there is no Internet service and the cell phone service area is sketchy.

Dont miss out on this place, I will definitely go back !
