We had a great time down there and enjoyed your place. The kids had fun fishing off the dock, and there was plenty to catch :)

Beware! Avoid this property!
This property was the first, and MOST NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE we have ever encountered.
First, the property is NOT CLEAN. Every surface of the kitchen is coated in a sticky residue. The couch is dirty and clearly has white dog hair on it (even though the owner refuses to have pets at the property?). Furthermore, this home has a serious ANT INFESTATION. At any time there are >100 ANTS on the countertop! The vibrations from the dishwasher bring out even more from the woodwork! Upon returning to our own home, WE FOUND THE ANTS HAD INFILTRATED OUR OWN BELONGINGS! There is no doubt that this requires the employment of a professional exterminator.
Secondly, The owner didn't live up to his end of the bargain. We paid him extra for towels for the week. Were there towels when we arrived? No. He then denied that we had even paid him for the towels! Make sure to have your contract with you! Also, The OWNER CONTROLS THE THERMOSTAT from home. The WIFI is weak/nonexistant - you will give up on trying to access the internet within 2 days.
Finally, the properly is very POORLY MAINTAINED. It was obvious the owner did nothing to prepare the home for this season. Upon arrival the lawn had clearly not been mowed in >3 weeks, if at all since winter. EVERYTHING IN THIS HOME IS ON THER VERGE OF COLLAPSE. For example, all of the furniture is extremely flimsy (I watched as one chair gave way under my sibling while eating dinner). All of the fire alarms had exhausted their batteries - THUS ALL THE ALARMS WERE GOING OFF WHILE WE WERE THERE! A worn door handle cracked off while we were using an outside door. Ordinarily, this would necessitate a simple repair. THAT DIDN'T STOP THE OWNER FROM KEEPING OUR ENTIRE SECURITY DEPOSIT! I cannot understate this: THIS PLACE IS IN COMPLETE DISREPAIR!
AVOID THIS PROPERTY!
Towels were not mentioned in the linen rental however, I quickly delivered fresh one's the morning after they arrived (I guess they did not mention that in the review) At this point, nobody mentioned anything about sticky residue in the kitchen nor ants. At this time of the year with the change in weather, ants do appear but not to the extent the renter has described. I did not want to have it professionally sprayed when I have renters coming in. I will have it done if I have at least a week before anybody comes.
I just changed all the batteries of the fire alarm and they didn't mention anything about it while I was there for at least 4 hours mowing the grass! Internet runs at 12 MB and is the highest you can have in that area. I have nor any renters have not had any problems with the internet. Again, they did not mention anything when I was there. The airconditioner as well as heat is controlled in the house and the system is brand new installed Fall of 2013! I'm sorry that some people like to exaggerate but like I said, all I wanted is to repair what they admitted they damaged.
Lake House Vacation
Not what we expected.....
I asked the group leader about the cleanliness and condition of the house as I had a professional cleaning service to clean it last Monday. She said that she found it to be nice and clean. She did not call me back to let me know if there were any issues. If there were, I would have immediately called the cleaning service for them to come back and do a better job cleaning.
I cut the grass last two weeks ago, unfortunately, because of the rain, it grew faster than normal. Again, I asked the group leader if it was overly tall, and she said it was higher but acceptable.
I checked the hot tub and it was fine.
