Family Weekend Fun, nice location

  • 4 of 5
There is nothing about this cottage that would make me not want to stay there again. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the famous Whiskey Row, down the street from the major grocery store Albertsons, and had convenient amenities to make our stay easy and comfortable. Karen was great and worked with us on an early check in time the day we arrived. The hair dryer was dead and she delivered a new one by the time we needed to use it. The reviews are right in that the bath tub is small and the beds are small. I'm used to a king size bed and really need my space from my wiggly husband to sleep, so I ended up sleeping upstairs on one of the twin beds (pretty hard mattress). The heater worked perfectly, we were never cold but I recommend leaving the bathroom door open so the heat circulates in there. The house is on the corner of an intersection, one side being a major road. There were easily 10 ambulances we heard go by over 3 days. It's quite loud but amazingly did not wake my 14 month old at night. Other than that the traffic noise was not bothersome to us. I'm a light sleeper and slept through the night both nights. The fireless Fire feature didn't give off much heat but added fun ambience. We used the kitchen for most meals and everything worked perfectly. There was no caffeinated coffee supplied, just a plethora of decaffeinated teas (I'm sure this was an oversight, no big deal). I would just suggest to future renters if you want to eat or drink it or cook with it, bring it yourself (aluminum foil, oil, coffee etc). The fridge is small but I packed everything we needed in there just fine. The place was clean, well decorated and felt like home. The dining area is carpeted, FYI for families with kids or messy eaters. We did fit a baby gate between the living room and dining area easily. The space at the bottom of the stairs was awkward for the gate and the top of the stairs was not necessary, all that's up there is a bedroom so we just closed that door up there. I would stay here again. The neighborhood felt safe, I felt fine walking at night at 1am back to the house. Go and have fun and this adorable house!

Loved this cottage!

Beautifully redone and super clean! Located close to whiskey row. We had our two little ones with us and this place was much better than staying in a hotel. :)

Owner's Response: Thanks Ingrid, I'm glad you enjoyed the cottage and hope you will visit us again. We are in the process of furnishing and decorating another cottage just two doors down that will be ready by Dec 1 - we will then have a one bedroom, a 2 bedroom and a 3 bedroom that will be available, all near downtown.

This place is amazing. Comfortable, cozy, quiet yet close to downtown. It was better than we hoped for. We recommend this home away from home to anyone who wants a great getaway. Very affordable, it was perfect for our little group. Thank you.

Lovely Cottage

  • 5 of 5
What a Lovely Cottage. Very clean, homey, and so comfortable. It has everything you need for an extended stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is just a short walk to downtown Prescott so you're right in the heart of it all..shopping center, restaurants, museums, etc. We'd stay here again in a heart beat.

Simply perfect

  • 5 of 5
We can't wait to come back to this amazing cottage. This was the perfect place for our family of five. It was so much roomier than the photos make it look, and so very comfortable. My teenage daughters loved sleeping in the bedroom at the top of the stairs. The kitchen had everything we needed. We felt like we were enjoying a gourmet breakfast every morning, it really felt like a B&B. Front and back parking was super convenient, as was the 10-min walk to downtown and the supermarket just down the street. My "big-and-tall" husband says even the somewhat cramped shower experience wouldn't stop him from coming back. The place is that amazing. :-)

Location

From the Owner

The property is well located for walking to our beautiful downtown square, shopping, restaurants, entertainment. The home is spacious and comfortable with lots of historic charm.

Activity and Interests

Prescott is known as 'Everyone's Home Town' and is rich in old west history and charm. Our downtown square has frequent arts/crafts shows and many festivals and musical activities throughout the year. It is surrounded by national forest, has several lakes within 10 minutes of downtown and numerous hiking trails. We are also a short day trip to the red rocks of Sedona, the old west mining town of Jerome, Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon and the Phoenix/Sedona area.
