Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, 8 Sleeps

Laurel Creek Cabin is a beautiful cabin located on a nice wide creek. The cabin is decorated very tastefully with country charm. This is a great place to take your family to have some fun and get away from all the stress. It is located just a few miles from Blue Ridge, Ga and Murphy, NC. The cabin has 2 private bedrooms with queen size beds. It also has a oversize loft with a queen bed and queen sleeper sofa. The master bedroom has its own full size bath with jet tub. There is a private porch that overlooks the backyard and creek from the master bedroom. Our vacation home has a wraparound porch with an extended deck that has a jacuzzi that seats 5 adults. It is a great way to end the day while gazzing at the millions of stars in the sky. We are on over 1 acre of flat land so you don't have to worry about your kids. Just let them have fun in the creek. Turn over a few rocks in the creek and find some critters. The sounds of the water is also very relaxing. During the fall you can see deer and wild turkeys.

Clean, cozy and comfortable vacation rental...

  • 5 of 5
My family, which includes my two sons, my brother, his wife and their 2 daughters and my cousin, her husband and five year old son, spent a total of 4 nights in the Laurel Creek Cabin. The cabin met all our expectations in that it was very clean and cozy and carried all the necessary ameniites such as extra pillows, linen, towels, coffee maker, etc. The beds were comfortable and the place was well maintained. The creek was an added bonus for the children and they found it fun and refreshing. The property was spacious and we were able to build a big fire and roast marshmallows. We also enjoyed ourselves soaking in the hot tub. The area was very quiet and it was peaceful and relaxing. The owner, Tim, was very pleasant to deal with and always responded to my questions promptly. We drove into Bryson City to go tubing, which was a blast and we also spent a leisurely afternoon browsing the flea market and antique shops in nearby Murphy. Overall, I would recommend this cabin to my friends and family and we are in fact hoping to go back again soon.

Very nice getaway....

  • 4 of 5
This is an lovely home, excellent location to visit many State Parks, Rivers, Lakes and Towns. We had a great time, and look forward to coming back again and visit. Loved the Hot Tub, and the big back porch in the evenings. Cell phones and wireless internet are somewhat sketchy, but who needs them if you are truly on a getaway from the real world.

The property was very clean, and the area was very quiet.

Tim was in contact with us, and left instructions on exactly how to operate all of the remotes for the TV, VCR, DVD and Satellite. There is also a ton of brochures to help you decide what you would like to do or see in the area. He left contact numbers for himself and his housekeeper just in case you needed assistance.

We were interested in fishing, and all though some of the information that were given as good fishing areas, we found that it was a little difficult to find a flat, shady spot to fish off the bank, until we found Cherokee Lake,.. go towards Murphy on spur 60, then turn left on 64( going away from Murphy), turn on the road to the Dam, Cherokee Lake is not far up that road. Very peaceful, and a great fishing area.

We tubed the Toccoa River-Rolling Thunder River Company , which was a great time. This would be a very kid friendly tubing experience. It was about an hour to do the 1.5 miles, but a lot of fun, not too deep and also had a few little white water places. Very relaxing. Only about a 30 min drive from the cabin.

We did not spend a lot of time in the cabin, as we were out on day adventures, but it was in the perfect location to visit many different places on day trips.

We would recommend this cabin to family and friends, and intend to return ourselves.

Owner's Response: We are glad to hear you had a great time at Laurel Creek. There are so many places to visit it is hard sometimes for me to remember them all. I will keep your fishing place in mine for all of our other future guest. I know there are several places to fish nearby and I will work on getting a map to guide our guest to all the spots.
Thanks for your review and may God Bless...Tim & Kathy Shearer
