Mountain seclusion will be yours at Above the Trees Cabin, a brand new log cabin set high on a forested mountaintop with fantastic long range views of the Smokys. Whether you are seeking a memorable family stay or a romantic get-away, this 2 bedroom 3 bath cabin will be a perfect choice. Inside you can enjoy a game of pool on the full size pool table in the loft, take in a movie on the HD TV in the living room, or prepare a meal in the fully equipped kitchen. In the evening you can take in the mountain view while relaxing in the very private hot tub on the master bed room's deck. When you are ready to retire, you can fall asleep in the queen bed in front of a warm glowing fireplace and satellite TV in the lower level master bedroom.

For outdoor activities, you are midway between the best whitewater rafting in the east on the Nantahala River, the beauty of the Appalachian Trail and the most visited National Park in the country, the Great Smoky Mountains NP.

Anytime of the day, the beautiful North Carolina mountain view is just outside the massive windows.

Above the Trees is pet friendly, sleeps 4-6 and is available year round.

Wonderful Time

Had a wonderful time in this cabin. The views were amazing, it even snowed while we were there and it was beautiful. We enjoyed hiking the AT trail near the NOC, eating in town at Bryson City and relaxing. I would reccomend this cabin. The only negative is the loft became very hot when running the fireplace in the living room. Overall, a wonderful experience and lots of memories.

Owner's Response: We're glad you enjoyed your stay at Above the Trees.

Since the gas fireplaces are ornamental, should the loft become hot we recommend turning the fireplace down and using the central heat and air instead.

    Rental Agreement Policies:
    Under the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act, your booking payment over the phone or via our online booking system is evidence of your acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth in the rental agreement.

    Upon booking, you will be emailed both the receipt for your transaction and the rental agreement. Once you return the completed rental agreement, we will then email you the specific property directions and the access instructions for the cabin.
    Check In & Out:
    Check in is after 3PM and Check Out is before 10AM. NO Early Check-ins and NO Late checkouts without prior permission from our office. Extra charges may be assessed for non-compliance.
    A 50% down payment by credit card is required to confirm a reservation. In addition, the Limited Damage Waiver or Security Deposit will be required at the time of booking.
    The balance of the rent and tax is due at least 30 days prior to the stay. At the time of the balance due, we will then charge the card that you initially paid with unless we are contacted prior to this time with other payment information. It is your responsbility as the tenant to inform us if you wish to pay the remainder by check or on another credit card before your payment is due.

    Age Policy:
    For parties of students or singles each guest must be 25 years old or older unless accompanied by parent or adult guardian. An adult guardian must be 25 years old or older, and such party may not exceed 6 guests. Proof of age is required in the form of a government issued ID for each guest. Reservation must be made over the phone.
    * Adult Guardian/Lead Guest Duties. The Adult Guardian assumes all financial responsibilities for any damages incurred to the interior or exterior of the Property as a result of occupancy and is responsible for ensuring the party abides by rules and check out procedures. The Adult Guardian assumes all financial responsibility for damage caused by the party’s occupancy. The Adult Guardian must remit the security deposit as detailed below
    * Right to Refuse Service. The Agent reserves the right to cancel or refuse a reservation should the Adult Guardian not be deemed able to reasonably fulfill the duties aforementioned. If you book online and your reservation does not meet the Tenant Duty requirements (including the Age Policy and Adult Guardian Policy) we will actively refuse service and cancel your reservation. Your cancellation will be subject to a reduced cancellation fee of $50.00.
    * Agent Right of Entry: Per Paragraph 13 of the rental agreement, the Agent or Owner reserves the right to inspect the Property during reasonable hours to ensure the cabin is in a safe and habitable condition and that the actual occupancy coincides with the guests indicated on the contract.
    * Expedited Eviction: Per Paragraph 12 of the rental agreement, the Agent reserves the right to invoke an expedited eviction should the Tenant have fraudulently or thru misrepresentation gained occupancy.
    * Security Deposit: For aforementioned parties, the Lead Guest must remit an Adult Guardian Security Deposit of $1,500.00. The security deposit(s) shall be refunded upon confirmation that the property was left in a fit condition with the rules and Check-Out Procedures upheld.

    The down payment is refundable (less a $75 charge) only with written cancellation at least 30 days prior to arrival date.
    Without 30 days notice, deposits are only refundable if the cabin is re-rented.
    No shows and early departures are obligated for the entire amount of the reservation.%3
