Phoenix Villa

This very attractive property near good shopping and a great park was in sparkling condition when we arrived. We cannot say enough about Mark Martin , the manager . He was very interested in making our stay in Phoenix a happy experience even when we did dumb things like lock ourselves out on a Saturday night after a long day of touring.. Mark was out of town but made sure that someone came to rescue us in a very short time. He obviously sets high standards for himself and his employees and we really appreciated all of his efforts and tips.
One of our party really wanted to enjoy a good steak in Phoenix and Mark's recommendation of "Flemings" was right on. It was expensive but worth every penny. Three of us ordered from the small plate menu and were very satisfied with those meals and the steak lover enjoyed his big steak very much. Mark also gave us girls the tip to go to Chandlers Fashion Mall where we found a good range of affordable and attractive shops .

Home from Home

  • 5 of 5
We were staying in Arizona for around 3 weeks over Christmas. We usually stay in hotels, but thought that this year, we would try and find a villa instead. We are so glad we did. This home was so much nicer than any hotel. It was great to have space both inside and out and we really couldn't have been more pleased with it!

When we looked at it on google maps, we were concerned about road and airport noise as it seemed quite close. This turned out to be no concern at all. It was a very quiet neighbourhood and the outdoor patio is lovely and quiet. We even managed to spot humming birds and owls!

We would have no hesitation in recommending this place or staying there again.

Wonderful outdoor area, great for an active family

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed here with our two sons, 10 and 8 for just under two weeks. Having researched in advance, we knew the location of the villa was next to some great mountain biking. We rented mountain bikes and rode every day. South Mountain is literally a 2 minute ride away, and the trails are fine for the whole family...if you can take the heat! We found riding in the early morning or late afternoon was best for us. My kids spent hours in the pool, and hot tub, which are located just steps away from the villa. The outdoor patio area was a wonderful bonus - spacious and a nice place to have a quiet read. The condo is nicely decorated and the beds are comfy, including the sofa bed. We ran out of propane and Mark came the next day to deliver a new tank. Loved having the laundry with two active boys - found all appliances to be very intuitive. Also appreciated the wireless. Phoenix itself was very easy to drive and get around and the villa is near a number of major roads so access was quite simple, and it was nice that there was a car port that kept the car in the shade. We did an eating tour of different places that were on "Diners Drive Ins and Dives" - kids loved it. Thank you Mark for a lovely stay.

A warm swim in January

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I and our daughter had had enough of long northeast winters and decided to get away to warm, sunny Arizona this year. This turned out to be a very smart decision. The choice of the Phoenix Villa made our stay comfortable and special. The town house is beautifully furnished , maintained and conveniently located. The community pool is steps away. The pool is heated. There is also a hot tub. You need to put the hot tub on at times as it is not consistently heated. However, the pool is private, clean and lounge chairs provide more relaxation in sun or shade. South Mountain recreation is just up the street. All major highways are close by and yet the villa location is quiet and protected. Mark and Kendra are gracious and accommodating hosts and are very accessible for any questions or concerns. We have enjoyed many warm January swims and many gorgeous sunsets in what seemed our all too short vacation.

Nice, wish we could have stayed longer

  • 5 of 5
The condo worked out perfect for us. We found it clean and inviting with everything we needed. The only thing that would make it better would be a couple of lounge chairs. There was no gas for the BBQ, but we were too busy to BBQ anyway so it didn't matter. It was nice to have a few condiments in the fridge since most condos have nothing. It would have been nice to have some directions to the operation of the microwave and stove, but with some time and trial and error we figured it out. I'd like to mention that both bedrooms have small windows up by the ceiling which let in light at sunrise, so if you like to sleep late like I do, you might want to make sure the blinds are closed. We will be returning.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the positive feedback! Be sure to call us during your next stay if you need anything or have a question, we are always available to our guests day or night. We just switch out the propane with a new tank & the lounge chairs are a great recommendation! All the appliances are new so we should still have the manuals in our files, I’ll make a copy for future guests to use. As for the high ceiling windows, once those shutters are closed up top it should be very dark, the trick is shutting them due to the height, we have a pole which we keep in the closet to do this task, we'll make certain guests know it's there. Thank you again for the valuable feedback and we look forward to seeing you soon! -Mark
