Our stay at Fridhem met every expectation! It was the perfect place for our family of 11, which included 5 young grandsons, to celebrate Christmas. We came to call it the "Christmas House." We were pleased to see the house furnished completely and adequately but not ornately or crowded. We did not have to worry about the boys having space to play and enjoy themselves. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed to prepare our own meals. The laundry room was especially handy for drying the snow clothes. There was a room for every activity...watched football and played video games in the "family room" (which we called the "sun porch"...wall of windows looking out onto the lake), played board games and instruments in the living room, as well as hung our Christmas stockings from the fireplace and put out a buffet of food in the dining room for Christmas company. There was plenty of bedrooms and sleeping space plus bathrooms for all of us to have privacy. We stayed for 10 days and barely left the house! We made life-lasting memories in the "Christmas house." I'm sure it's a lovely "lake house" in the summer, but it was perfect in the winter, as well! We intend to return for Christmas 2016!
Swim off the dock out to the swim raft or take the little ones a block down the street to the town beach with swingsets and playground.

Trappers Family Restaurant is two miles away and features amazing home made pies. Forest Lake is only 11 miles west and features chain restaurants, Cub Foods and a movie theater. There's plenty of pizza places, chinese food and grocery stores in the immediate area.
