Guestbook comments from the owner

My wife and I along with a couple from Iowa and Michigan met at 'Our Refuge' for a reunion. This was a time for us to get reacquainted as we had worked together since the late 90's.

The lake house was more than advertised. The owner kept in touch with me prior to our arrival providing much helpful information. It was to be a very cool night on our arrival and Frank had prepared the fireplace with wood and kindling with a welcome note that said, "Just light and enjoy".

The facilities for the 6 of us allowed us to have privacy while at the same time giving us plenty of room for our together time. It was cleaned and everything was in working order. The BEDS were comfortable, the kithcne was fully furnished and all things were neat, clean and in order.

We chose Nashville as our central meeting place with us coming from Florida, Iowa and Michigan. When we dicided to get together in Nashville, I gegan a search for just this typie of facility and i'm thankful that I found this place. We had planned several activities in Nashville and knew "our Refuge" was some distance fronm downtown but we were able to plan around that with our trips combining sightseeing with selecting our eating places. We had great times together during the trips back and forth as we all were able to utilize a single vehicle.

The guys had planned to play gold, but we were only able to get one round in. It was at a local course near Ashland City and wasn't the greatest of places to play. There were other courses not much further away that would have been better experiences.

What a great time we had! We had a family get together with my brother and sister and their spouses and thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Refuge. Just far enough out of town to relax in the quietness of nature but close enough to enjoy the sights of Nashville. The view was awesome and the house was clean and furnished with everything you need. If you are heading to the Nashville area with a larger group of people, this is the place you want. If we head to Nashville again we would definitely go back here.

We are home from our vacation and clearly agree that staying at the Refuge was the best part. It was incredible. The cabin truly is a refuge. Time spent together eating, laughing, and experiencing the peacefulness of the back porch are only a few of the things we enjoyed. The beds were wonderful, fresh, and clean. The decorating was beautiful. The well stocked kitchen was the best we have ever seen in a cabin. The book selection was fantastic. The hummingbirds and other birds delighted us for hours. And then there's the Lake and it's awesome beauty. How could anyone doubt our magnificent God? Thank you for allowing us to experience The Refuge. May God continue to bless your endeavors Mr. Andrews.

Seven ladies from my church came to The REFUGE last October and it was such a wonderful experience. We had a bible study every day and took in the beautiful surroundings God put before us. We are planning a return trip in November of this year. Highly recommended!!!

Owner's Response: We have traveled the world over and stayed in some real crudy places. We will never let The Refuge fall into that category. We personally see to every detail down to the white glove inspection by the chief house keeper (my wife).

You and your sweet church ladies will always be welcome at the Refuge.
