Perfect: location, amenities, views, and space. Gorgeous new bathrooms, lots of space for extended family to share and not be on top of each other and wonderful new beds and bedding. It has been a perfect place for our children and grandchildren to stay and explore the area. All this and clean to boot.
One cannot write and share the views from the house, it is magical and to be experienced. Three cheers from our clan. it was great.

This is a beautiful house and location. It is very private and the views are spectacular. The photos on the website do not give a good description of the house. the bedrooms and baths especially are much nicer and bigger than appear. The owner was very helpful in answering questions and concerns. There is a local property manager who was very prompt in answering our questions and concerns. I would definitely recommend this property to other friends and relatives and we hope some day to go back ourselves again. We bought fresh lobster at the co-op in Winter Harbour and loved the "The pickled Wrinkle" restaurant also in Winter Harbour. The 5 & dime there is also a fun place to shop. It is a long drive to Bar Harbour, but we did do a day trip. Also to Acadia (both sides). Weather was wonderful. We also enjoyed watching the fishing boats in the morning. We spotted eagles, porpoises outside our windows in the cove.

Owner's Response: Sharon thank you so much for your wonderful review. It is hard to capture pictures of the bathroom, we are glad that you are pleased. For future reference you can always get a ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor and then you do not have to deal with the drive.

This property is spectacular. The setting is fantastic, the house was exceptionally clean, the kitchen was well stocked to include lobster pots, and the large bathrooms with heated floors, including walk in showers was a pleasant surprise. We sea kayaked, spent a day and a half at Acadia National Park and visited several lobster communities. We did not want to leave.

A Magical Place

  • 5 of 5
It is true that the property is clean and well maintained, that I would enthusiastically recommend it to a friend or relative. and that the nearby attractions are compelling. But here are two examples that make Beachsurf MAGICAL. When you walk on the driveway toward the front door, you can see through the building to the ocean. Through the front door sidelight, through the glass door of the interior foyer, and through the sliding glass door to the deck, there is the ocean before you. And, at night, from the king size bed in the second floor master bedroom, you can look up through the large windows and see the stars. It is simply a magical place. And, quite honestly, we can't afford to go to Beachsurf, but we plan and save so that we can go again; this year will be our fifth vacation at this magical vacation spot.

Fantastic water views that made waking up a pleasure!

The location was absolutely beautiful and our family enjoyed a relaxing time at the roomy home. It is marketed well on the website. The house is a lot older and worn than it appears in the photographs, except for the recently renovated master suite. The master is spacious and well done with lots of windows. It is good to know that the master windows have no blinds or curtains so it is very bright early in the morning. Renters would be wise to take sleep masks. Also, the master is the only room on the second level with steps that go directly to the bedroom and there is no door. Privacy is limited and the noise travels up the stairs. The hot water tank must be small because we often took lukewarm to cool
showers. The setting of the home was so fantastic that we were able to ignore these minor annoyances.

We cooked in a lot and found the kitchen to be okay. There wasn't much extra space so we stored our food on the counter top.

Our group included teens through middle aged family members. We all enjoyed climbing around on the rocks and beach area. The cool ocean breezes through open windows were refreshing. The deck was spacious for eating and hanging out (take bug spray - the mosquitos found us all very tasty!)
