This is a 2 bedroom log cabin located on the southeast shore of Torch Lake, rated the third most beautiful lake in the world by National Geographic. Torch Lake boasts shades of aquamarine usually only seen in the Caribbean or other tropical waters. Our location is perfect for viewing summer sunsets, no need to drive to the beach to look for the "green flash", you're already at the best spot. Each bedroom has a double bed, and the living room has a sleeper sofa, so it sleeps a total of six. Location

Activity and Interests

You are in the heart of northern Michigan, within 45 minutes of Traverse City, Petosky, and Charlevoix, and only 10 minutes away from Bellaire and Alden. Bellaire has everything you could possibly need unless you really need a Walmart. "Ruthie's" is the best place anywhere for burgers and ice cream, since Ruthie has devoted her life not just to great burgers, but to raising dozens of foster children. Her heart is even bigger than her burgers. "Moka's" does gourmet coffee drinks and truly inventive breakfast and lunch items, not to mention homemade graham crackers and homemade marshmellows. You don't even need to make s'mores, just eat these things, you won't believe it. This is the best kept secret place for happy hour, with unreal prices for top shelf martini's, etc. Small, but very complete wine shop in the back will supply you with anything from a Michigan Cab Franc to a top California Cab. "Short's" has gained a national reputation as one of America's finest brewpubs, no brag, just fact. Go there and you will understand why, and don't just drink the beer and forget the food . . . great pizza, sandwiches, music! "Toonies" does the best hash browns, always have breakfast there, and the Bellaire Bar is known for really good burgers, fried fish, venison chili, and tons of fun. Now we come to Lulu's, one of the finest restaurants anywhere. Just go early and sit at the bar and order some appetizers. Look for celebrities, when famous people come to northern Michigan, they go to Lulu's. Check out the menu, and if you decide to have dinner, you will have made the right decision. Also not to be missed is the Bellaire Smokehouse, which is just north of town and has house-smoked meats and fish, along with fresh meats and fish, and beer, wine, cheese, and other delicacies. Bellaire also has a two-screen movie theatre, and numerous world-class golf courses. From Torch Lake you can access the inland chain-of-lakes that can take you all the way to Lake Bellaire in one direction, and Elk Lake in the other.
