Restful Home away from home

  • 4 of 5
This was one of the most sweetest little homes my wife and I could have asked for. It had a couple little quirks, but over all it was cozy, restful and had such a great look out over the lake. It will forever be a place we will keep close to our hearts. Thanks to Mr. Dunn for offering such a sweet space. I'd suggest this place for couples or small families who are looking for a little getaway, quiet and restful time.

Pretty and Friendly Area

  • 3 of 5
The location here is very pretty. Although the owner was quite busy, he was good with online contact. It was nice and out of the way from Grand Rapids, but easy to go to and from. The community is very safe and very friendly. I would stay again if the laundry facilities were working. The place is in need of some serious roof repairs. No evident leaks, but a lot of insect activity (especially spiders). The place could have been much cleaner as it was quite dusty, evident rotten wood, and the basement has little head room. I left the place cleaner than it was when I arrived. The owner was good about getting us replacement towels. It was a bummer to have spotty cell service (and no Internet) but the lake access made up for it. My husband loved using the kayak. The next door neighbor was the nicest individual we have ever met downstate. He was cordial, helpful, and without him, it would have been lonely for my daughter there. Most of my questions were answered by him!

Activity and Interests

Downtown Grand Rapids is only 20 - 25 minutes away. Enjoy the lake and be close to the downtown nightlife and entertainment. Golf courses surround the property and of course there is plenty of boating and fishing to be had!
