Please pull up any map site (Yahoo Maps recommended) to checkout the actual location and surrounding area! Fully furnished 650+square feet, 1 bedroom/1 bathroom condo with lots of upgrades. Sleeping accommodations include a queen size bed, pull out sleeper sofa and/or a very comfortable Coleman double high queen air matress. Also, portable twin bed/s available on request. SCHLITTERBAHN WATERPARK projected to open summer of 2014. The actual main occupier must be at least 21 years or older to rent the unit. Have a nice day...and a great vacation!!

Average, because skimpy maintenance

Other reviews cover the pros--location, fishing/picnic pavilion view of Laguna Madre. Our cons: Unlike other reviews, sorry to say it was not clean, not well equipped, especially the kitchen. Surfaces were clean except carpet was dirty, and when we tried to vacuum ourselves, the vacuum cleaner was useless. Kitchen had one small paring knife, dull and bent: you were out of luck if you wanted to slice a melon, or even a large onion. Very few glasses, and oven didn't work. I'm glad there were only two of us to cook for. They have a pretty decent couch, recliner, dining room table. But mattress, sheets, towels, pillows have seen plenty of use. Other little details overall that the owner has not invested in maintenance, to the extent that it did affect our comfort.

Owner's Response: I have happily rented to hundreds of guests numerous condos/houses that we own in the Corpus Christi/North Padre Island area for over 10 years. I only advertise two units on this rental site. The majority of our properties are shown on different rental sites, and the majority of our guests are return guests. I believe you cannot rent better units for offered prices anywhere on the Island, especially the special rate (85 dollars a night) that was given to the last guests that commented about their stay in this unit. On a different note, we provide guests 3 local phone numbers to call should they encounter ANY problems. Our cleaning staff, maintenance man and I live within a 10 minute drive of our Island units. Should guests NOT call, I cannot correct the issue/s. For instance, some people have problems turning on a oven, as the oven in this unit requires two knobs to be turned on in order work...the oven temperature knob and the bake/broil/etc/ knob. If you not turn on both knobs, the oven will not work): I personally checked the oven today and it functions properly, as do the stove top burners (only one knob required to turn on a burner). Should a future party (1 or more guests) staying in this unit require more than 12 tall glass glasses, 8 plastic medium sized glasses, and 6 coffee cups please let me know and I will bring more(: We do offer a dishwasher, running water, sink and detergent should anyone care to wash dishes/glasses/utensils/etc during their stay(: On another note, we do appreciate comments, good or bad, reference our units. However, it really does not do any good to complain after the fact): For instance, if the vacuum cleaner does not work, a new one will be delivered or the old one fixed (usually replace a belt); should utensils or small appliances be missing/broke, they will be immediately replaced should someone be CONTACTED. Unfortunately, sometimes smaller items do go missing, as some guests, for instance, misplace/use the unit's knives to clean fish/etc. That said, 99 out of 100 times, our housekeeping staff will catch the shortages/problems and correct matters before guest arrival. If not, a phone call will take care of ANY issue a guest may have. Lastly, all bedding and towels are routinely replaced to ensure our guest's comfort. In all the years of renting our units, I have ONLY received ONE negative review:) Too bad a few people are just plain not nice): This said, come visit and enjoy your stay! You will not be disappointed!!

We had a great time. Our party had two of your condos. They were awesome.. Very clean ,comfortable and had every thing we needed.. we loved fishing off the dock and cooling off in the pool.. We will definitly stay there times..caught redfish and speckled trout at night..Thanks again for making things so easy for us...Cathy,Carol , mark, vicki, john w , and john S..

Right on the water and walk to the beach!

This condo was even better than described. It's in a small complex right on the water, with boat slips and a nice covered pavilion, lit at night for fishing. The private balcony view was lovely, the same view from the dining room table. The pool is clean and right down the steps from the condo door. The condo was very clean, and well equipped. The owner is a great communicator, and very pleasant. Parking was plentiful and the complex is within walking distance to a nice, clean beach, and a short drive to Bob Hall Pier. The Padre Island National Seashore is close by as is Port Aransas.

I would definitely recommend this condo to a friend! The condo is on the 2nd floor, with steps only, so I would not recommend it for people with trouble with stairs.

Its a short drive into Corpus Christi, and we took the (seasonal) Harbor Ferry from the t-head pier over to North Beach area, and can recommend Pier 99, good music, cold pink lemonade and excellent you-peel shrimp. We took the Harbor Bridge Shuttle back downtown, and had a great tour of Corpus on a nice air conditioned bus.

PORT ARANSAS, with deep-sea fishing and super shopping, is right down HWY 361. Close to restaurants, shopping and amusements. Corpus Christi downtown is a approximate 20 minute drive.....Texas State Aquarium, Lexington Aircraft Carrier, Hook's Baseball Stadium, Arena, T/L heads and lots more.

    We try to be fair and keep our prices low as well as our cleaning fee. To meet the standard cleaning fee, you must throw out your trash, clean the refrigerator, and place your linens (sheets and towels) in your pillow cases and place in the bathroom tub, as well as leave the place as you found it.


    Cancellations accepted 21 days from arrival date. Also, tropical storm or worse weather in the immediate area.
