Hi Jeff. We had a great time at the ranch. Beautiful views! Plenty of room for everyone and the dogs. The only disappointment was the arcade games didn't work. We are planning a white water rafting trip for next summer, if it's in your area, we would love to rent the ranch again! Vivian

Great Family Fun

  • 5 of 5
First time to Sequoia National Park with the family and wanted to make sure to have plenty of things to do aside from hiking. Could not have found a better home base than Hafuma Ranch. The kids were up on their own at 7AM (not an easy task with junior high boys) and exhausted by 10PM. The on-site activities were a perfect fit for a family of on a private pond, archery, sport court, pool table, pool, jacuzzi, bbq...the list goes on. Was an hour drive to the entrance of Sequoia, and another 45min from there to the Valley of the Giant sequoias. Look forward to returning, will visit closer locations like Balch park, so we can spend more time at the ranch.

Friend getaway

  • 5 of 5
We truly enjoyed our stay at Hafuma. We were a group of 25-27 looking for a middle ground to meet up between San Francisco and LA, somewhere that we could be away from everything and enjoy the heat, pool and views. Hafuma was perfect. . The beautiful view and the seclusion were great for a weekend in for 10 and a dog. The place is more than big enough for ten people and we never felt cramped. We were under the assumption that there were four bedrooms but there are actually only three. But with the game rooms' pull out couches and the couches upstairs there were so many places to sleep that we were not phased by one bedroom less than expected.

The whole ranch is beautiful, the house is decorated in a wonderfully 80's fashion, lots of mirrors and glass. Although outdated we felt that it had a charm unlike any other place we have stayed before. The game room and pool area were definitely our most frequented. The pool had a lot of bugs and natural debris in it which we cleaned before getting in, within the hour it was dirty again... just the environment I guess. While swimming in the pool you have cows that are directly over the fence, the bull was literally standing at the wall and staring at us. Very charming and different, I would stay here with friends again 100%.

Things are easy to access around here, although we barely left the pool and game room we did find a need to go to a grocery store which was an easy 20 minutes away. For being so secluded and away from everything we liked that we could have access to things when necessary. I think that Hafuma knows what it is doing, only things I wish are better water pressure in the showers and sinks, and that the checkout time was later. We would have loved to stay and have a swim before we left! Thank you Marks family, we will be back soon :)

Incredible setting!

  • 4 of 5
Our group of four adults and four children four and under had a great stay at Hafuma ranch. It is beautiful. We loved sitting on the deck, playing on the paddleball court, "swimming" in the hot tub and relaxing at the house. Every room has gorgeous views with huge windows. The house was clean and had all that we needed in terms of kitchen supplies and bedding/ towels. The stairway down to the tunnel and game room is really really steep and is right off the living room. Since our group had 3 toddlers, we didn't like that there wasn't a gate or something securely blocking the stairs but we blocked it off with furniture. Overall, I would absolutely recommend the ranch for anyone, just beware that it isn't little kid proof. We still had a great stay! Thank you for offering your home on VRBO.

Springville Visit

  • 4 of 5
Beautiful setting with rolling green pastures, in winter. Awesome mountain views. Springville is a beautiful place to visit with great views of the Sierra Nevada snow capped mountains. Staying at your house was like living in a time capsule with most of the decor from 20 to 40 years ago. House was in great shape considering much of it was old, carpets and silver wallpaper and marble entrances. We had a blast in the pool room, which was not only by the pool but had a pool table in it. The tunnel to the pool room was really cool too, especially in the cold winter with rain. However, it was a big safety concern for our two year old grandson. The stairs are steep and have no gate right off of the living room.

This place was truly amazing. The view was so beautiful - snow-capped mountains, green hills, ponds and lakes surrounding the property. We did some hiking and snowshoeing in Sequoia, but the rest of the time just enjoyed the ranch - especially the hot tub, fireplaces, and fishing in the pond. There were so many games for kids and adults! Lots of room for our group (six adults and two kids).

The owner was extremely accommodating and responsive to all of our questions - he definitely made things very easy for us.

Can't wait to return!

Peaceful Getaway

  • 5 of 5
Surrounded by a peaceful farm filled valley, this was a picturesque place to stay. We had a wonderful time walking around the surrounding area, playing pool in the game room, sitting around the fire pit at night and swimming in the pool. Also, we caught a few fish in the pond! I would definitely stay at the Hafuma ranch again!
