Peace and Quiet in Paradise

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I spent 2 weeks in this bright and clean home in Vero Beach. We have vacationed on the west coast and this was our first time on the east coast. The house was clean and had all the necessary items to make our stay as comfortable as being at home. The beach was a short walk from the house which was very convenient. We also visited two of the state park beaches which were really nice too! I would have to say that the best part was enjoying the beautiful enclosed pool which is surrounded by tropical plants and very private. Having vacationed on the other coast at the same time of year when a lot of restaurants aren't open we found Vero to have the best selection of restaurants ( mulligans, Ocean Grill, MT's Chop House and our favorite Riverside Cafe) to choose from.
If you are considering vacationing in Vero we highly recommend the Bodhi Tree Home. It's exactly as pictured and the owner was very helpful with answering any questions and welcomed us with a phone call when we arrived. Thank you for sharing your peaceful home in paradise.

Sincerely.....Stan and Tracy Ottman

tropical paradise

We were lucky enough to spend a few days in this eclectically furnished home by the sea. The ocean was delightful, the sparkling white sand beach, the beautifully carved bed cozy and comfortable and the florida room just a perfect spot for apres ocean swimming. The house was quiet, clean, bright and protected in its own small gated community. It had all that was needed for the perfect beach vacation including an easy ride to the old town of Vero Beach wild or quietly romantic restaurants--for the settled older crowd or for the young and the hip. (the Ocean Grill and Mulligans) Vero Beach has exclusive beach boutique shopping or outlet shopping for the economy minded. We took a ride to the Sebastian Inlet--a truly beautiful spot-- with the top down and the warm wind in our hair. We were rented a flat bottomed boat for a day on the Indian River (which is right near this house) to picnic and sleep on the many islands that dot the river. Pelicans dolphins water fowl flew by our sun warmed heads. It was our best Florida vacation--food fun water sports swimming and beach combing all within minutes from the Bodhi Tree Home-- a home that is truly magical and just plain perfect!

  • The Master bedroom is ensuite the large bathroom with a walk-in closet. The bedroom contains an antique wooden poster bed from India, hand made by artisans from the Rajastan dessert, covered with hand embroidered bedspread and pillows from the same area. All linens are over 500 counts Egyptian cotton. Antique Tibetan nightstands complement the large armoire from southernTibet. The second bedroom contains a queen size sleigh bed with matching mirrored dresser, similar linens and bed cover as the master bedroom, ample closet space for storage, and a wall mounted flat panel TV. The third bedroom is converted into an office space and sitting area with a comfortable couch that converts into a full size extra bed. The office is equipped with a Palisander desk, phone, computer, internet, and WiFi terminal. The living room is designed with oversize shabby chic couches with luxurious twill covers and decorated with original artwork from Tibet and Mongolia, an ideal place for lounging after an intensive day at the beach. Take in a movie at the 46” wall mounted flat panel screen with a Blue Ray DVD player, and Direct TV programs, plus available DVD collection of international movie titles. The formal dining room is the ultimate expression of elegance. It is furnished with antique Qing Dynasty dining set with matching buffet and liquor chest. The breakfast nook is the place for sunny mornings getting together on a copper table with comfortable stools complimented with an antique Fujian bamboo kitchen armoire. The kitchen is fully equipped for gourmet cooking including complete set of stainless steel cookware, a full compliment of dining ware, and crystal ware. In addition, an outdoor modern grill has a built in wok and pizza stone for your additional culinary creativities. The long hallway is decorated with an antique Qing dynasty long console table with Burmese marble statuary. The 6 foot deep heated and covered pool is the focal centerpiece of the house. The large patio with a round table is a wonderful place to wind down the day to listen to the ocean surf, the night sounds of the neighboring mangrove forest, all within a large Florida Room to insect proof the area. The Bodhi Tree Home earns its name from an ancient gigantic Ficus tree on the eastside of the property. The grounds contain edible banana and lime trees for your cooking pleasure. A large array of tropical flowers surrounding the house with one third acre of manicured grassy lawn. The entry way greets visitors with an antique six foot granite Buddha surrounded by stately coconut palms, truly a place where the outer and inner journey can converge on a magic level.
