A game room is right next door which offers a pool table and 42 inch television. On the lower-level deck there is a 7 person spa for your use after a great day on the slopes. In the summer, this property is perfect for an easy stroll to the lake. This estate is being newly furnished and is available for rent beginning March 25th.

Not worth the money!

So many minor aggravations not to make this a good experience!
A. Five Star Vacation Rentals folks failed to mention that the neighbors near this house were like gestapo until giving me the key! We had one car parked on the street to off-load and within a few minute time frame had the property manager calling me that the neighbor was already complaining. Nice way to start a trip. Brought a grill with us to have a big BBQ. Yep, the fire department paid us a visit due to a fire/smoke call from a neighbor.
B. Picking up the key, the young man kept insisting that we could have no more than 16 people in the house at ANY TIME. I should have mentioned to him that I was on many plan commissions in my lifetime and very few rules keep guests out except to sleep! Someone should also tell him that the metal container on the porch for ashes from a BBQ was none existent.
C. When some of my guests arrived the house was wide open! Who needs keys!!
D. Did anybody ever do a punch list on this house?
E. In the driveway along the side of the front stairs was accumulated stuff and the garage looked like a mini-storage shed! Even the garage side windows had not been cleared of plastic film from painting and the grocery cart in the garage along with the broken chair were a hoot. Cigarette on garage floor upon arriving is always a bad sign that someone did not read the rules and the house cleaners did not do their job.
F. Ants on the kitchen floor were a novelty, to say the least. God forbid that you looked for any spray to kill them. The mgmt co/owner failed to have much in the way of amenities. No clothes washing detergent, maybe I could live with. However, since I have owned pieces of several hotels; how do you get away with having NO bathroom toiletries. what so ever!!!!
G. Walk through the house and find were paint has been chipped and not repaired. One closet not only did not have a clothes pole to hand garments; it had nothing at all. Maybe it was supposed to be the penalty box.
H. I could go on, but I think you get my drift. It seems like FIVE STAR VACATION RENTALS is very adept at making sure you sign away their exhaustive contract, but too bad if you are the tenant. I would not rate either the management company and/or the owner above a non-passing grade. Renter beware!!
