Cute Little Cabin in a Great Location

  • 5 of 5
Our family of 5 people stayed here with our 3 dogs. The cottage was neat and clean and we loved the proximity to the North Central State Trail for walking our dogs. We spent quite a bit of time exploring the inland waterway and using the kayaks that were provided with the cabin. Overall we had a very enjoyable time and would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to enjoy a variety of activities and especially to families with well behaved pets.

Owner's Response: Thank you Kalamazoo and Reed City! These guests are absolutely correct about the area and the cottage. Already getting repeat guests who just stayed and booking for next year. You know when they say, location, location, location....this is it. All my cottages on Mullett are on that very popular North Central State Trail which converts to a snowmobile trail in the winter so behind home is the trail and in front is endless water activities! Too much to do in this area even for a week.or do nothing at all!...come check it out! Hurry, already booking up for next year. Also check out:
Sunrise Sunsation w/outdoor hot tub (94587) and my other Mullett Lakeshore Cottage (446265 on VRBO) which also has an outdoor hot tub and are both pet friendly....our four legged friends/family members love it up north too!

  • The Inland Waterway is Michigan's longest chain of rivers and lakes and this cottage is right at the heart of it! The Inland Waterway, which is more than 40 miles long, runs through Pickerel Lake, Crooked Lake, The Crooked River, Burt Lake, The Indian River, Mullett Lake, The Cheboygan River, and finally into Lake Huron. The Inland Waterway can handle boats up to 65 feet long (18 foot beam) with up to a 5 foot draft. There are 17 species of fish inhabit the waterway whether ice fishing for walleye, spring steelhead, summer perch, trout, bass, or down rigging for salmon in the Great Lakes, this area has it all. For fun by land, enjoy the North Central State Trail, a beautiful 62 mile hiking, biking and snowmobiling trail, which passes through Indian River as it connects Gaylord to Mackinaw City. Up for ORVing, Motorcycling or snowmobiling; check out Tomahawk Trails which provides miles of scenic wilderness. Hunt, fish and play in 180,000+ acres of State Land including the Mackinaw State Forest and lovely Pigeon River Country State Forest, home to Michigan's only free ranging Elk Herd, the largest herd east of the Mississippi. Visit the world's tallest wooden Crucifix at Cross in the Woods. Truly Nature's Mecca, this cottage offers you the ideal location to boat, fish, hunt, camp, bike, golf, kayak, canoe, raft, tube, sail, snowmobile, ORV, Motorcycle, ski, bird watch, mushroom hunt, hike, skate, dine, and shop. By water or by land, quiet sport or motor, fun with nature is certain with so many activities available to you.
