House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, 4 Sleeps

Our rustic but elegant log home was built with pine trees harvested from the property. From the exterior, the home doesn't look like a typical log home, but on the inside, the 'bones' of the house show clearly the log construction. Designed and built by hand, you will appreciate the workmanship and rustic qualities the house affords. The log home sleeps up to four guests. Centrally located so you can enjoy all the White Mountains have to offer! Pets - OK with owner's permission and fee.

If you are just a party of two, we also have a guest house on the property - please inquire for more details.

Dear Susan and Chris,

Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was perfect! We enjoyed the

beautiful setting, and your decor just made it so warm and relaxing. We

actually looked forward to getting back to the house at the end of our daily much better than a hotel!

Enjoyed every minute....

We would stay here again. The house is as beautiful as the pictures show. The king bed in the bottom level is so comfortable that you don't want to get up in the morning which is perfect for a lazy weekend getaway. Beautiful view, nice and quiet. Very clean and well maintained. Susan was very helpful as was Chris. Very fast response to my request to rent their property. If you are traveling to Littleton, NH I would recommend staying here.

Beautiful home in a very private setting

  • 5 of 5
The house was beautiful and one of the most considerately equipped we have encountered so far. Cooperating weather enabled us to drive up Mt. Washington - not to be missed. It was a thrilling experience, although challenging for anyone with a fear of heights.
Littleton and the surrounding area is like a refreshing step back in time, and the local people were very friendly. The whole weekend was like a Norman Rockwell painting...loved the Littleton Diner.
Susan has been very helpful and prompt in answering any email or phone calls. I have been using Homeaway for several years now and this was absolutely one of the best experiences!

So Enjoyable!

  • 5 of 5
Two couples spent four nights in this comfortable home in the White Mountain area of New Hampshire. The home is clean, well equiped, conveniently located, yet in a quiet, private setting. Littleton has lots to offer, Good restaurants, coffee houses, and shops. Bedrooms are on different levels of the house, which affords privacy for each guest. Lots of closet space and drawers for your clothing. This home is spacious. There are lots of interesting books to browse through and a good selection of videos to watch. The beds are comfortable and all linens in the home are good quality. The online photos truly represent what you will find here. All four of us highly recommend this VRBO home. It was our first experience renting a home while on vacation and it turned out to be a totally positive experience. This home is a good choice for couples, fall color seekers, hikers, skiers, sightseers in the White Mountains and nearby Vermont locations.

Amazing Long Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5
Our trip was absolutely amazing. The house was clean, well kept and there were so many booklets and maps to help with any sightseeing we would want to do. The check in and check out was very simple and reasonable. So much room in the home and the area was absolutely breathtaking. The views in the morning we indescribable. Susan was extremely helpful and when we left something there, she was quick to respond and have it sent to our home. We brought our dog and the downstairs mudroom was perfect for him. With the spiral stairs, that was a bit tough but there are other entrances outside the home so we brought him right around to hang out with us upstairs in the evening. We are definitely hoping to stay again. For the price we paid, it was definitely reasonable and worth it!!!!! Puzzles and books are available and with the cute town down the street, we were in he perfect location to go enjoy the day or relax at the house.
Highly, highly recommended.

Patient and kind owner! Lovely home. :)

The best part of my review has to be saved for the owner. You see, we were problem guests. My dog got food poisoning. In a single night, my dog vomited 20 times and had diarrhea. I ended up completely replacing anything that she damaged, but what was amazing was how incredibly kind the owner, Susan, was about it. I was losing my mind, because I seriously thought my dog was dying. As a single person with no kids, my dog is my life. Susan could have gotten angry or nasty about the damage, but her primary concern was for my dog and me. Her first words in any form of contact were always about the dog. That kindness goes an incredibly long way. What was a wretched experience was made better for the fact that we were so incredibly well cared for by someone who had every right to be angry with us. While I took responsibility for replacing the carpet, she nonetheless assisted me with that by sending her property manager to help me move furniture, measure the room, etc. In the end, we bought a new carpet, two new quilts, and a comforter. What was also incredible is that Susan did not take that opportunity to avail herself of any sort of upgrade. While other owners might have requested 1,000 thread count Egyptian cotton, Susan let us replace everything with the exact same quality that was already there.

Another instance in which Susan was just amazing was that I had accidentally not closed the door all the way at night. In the morning, the house was cold. The Nest heating system alerted Susan of that fact. Rather than get mad at me, Susan called a heating repairman to service the house just to make sure that the heat was working properly!!!

Those experiences aside, I must also say that the home really is lovely. We were quite comfortable there. The house has a simple elegance. It's down to earth and carefully decorated with sweet touches. It's also supremely comfortable; I loved the downstairs master bed! There were also subtle things that I liked—in a lot of rental homes, the owner's stuff fills every available space. However, in this one, there was an entire cabinet taller than I am in which to put all of my groceries. That may seem like a silly thing to credit, but when you've got 50 cans of dog food and your own food, it's nice to open the freezer and not find someone else's half-eaten ice cream. The home was also clean and well cared for.
