The quality of light and panoramic views have long drawn artists to the historic community of Springs, a village of East Hampton. Take a step back in time at this former fishermans' canteen turned family retreat. Nestled between Gardiner's Bay and the Accabonac Estuary, the main house features a light-flooded open layout with a first floor bedroom and a cozy floor-through sleeping loft under the eaves.
The large kitchen features a center table for casual family meals and a view so picturesque we've titled it Norman Rockwell. A separate dining table in the enclosed porch is ideal for evening board games. Then retire to a rocking chair and the gentle sounds of the bay.
Across the back yard, with its picnic table and charcoal grill, two cabins provide three separate sleeping quarters, one with kitchenette and bath. It's the perfect arrangement for family get togethers.
We'd be remiss not to mention the best feature, the calm water just steps away from the front door. Watch the kids collect seashells in the sand, and enjoy a cocktail at sunset on the waterfront adirondack chairs. Spend your days strolling to Gerard Point, kayaking or birdwatching in the Accabonac Estuary (the only neighbor across the street), biking along the country roads, and swimming in the refreshing waters of the bay.
