This charming apartment, known to locals as 'Jo Ann's Place', sits at the southern tip of historic Pass-a-Grille Beach, with a view of the Intracoastal Waterway from the screened front porch. The Gulf of Mexico and a sugar-sand beach are steps from the front door. A private, fenced patio is perfect for reading or sunbathing. The residential neighborhood is quiet and safe. You can fish from the nearby seawall. or join your neighbors to watch postcard sunsets from the Gulf promenade.
Constructed during WW II, this building is not condo contemporary. The walls are plaster, the floors are heart-of-pine, and there's no dishwasher. But if you want to experience the ambience and peace of Pass-a-Grille, you cannot beat this location.
Every seasonal rental in this neighborhood was booked solid between December and May last year. If you want to secure this unit for the 2014-2015 season, act soon.
I'm a Florida native, a former journalist, and a retired trial attorney. I have lived on the property since 2004.
“This building is uniquely situated at the southern end of Pass-a-Grille Beach, in a quiet, residential neighborhood.”
The Gulf of Mexico and a sugar-sand beach are 100 yards from your front door, with some of the best sea shell collecting opportunties in Florida. The Intracoastal Waterway is 30 yards from your front door; it's a fine fishing location. Dozens of restaurants call St. Pete Beach home, including several within walking distance. Tampa is a thirty minute drive: Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Aquarium, Busch Gardens, and Ybor City nightlife. Disney World and other Orlando theme parks are a ninety-minute drive.
