THIS IS A FULL-TIME VACATION RENTAL--THIS IS NOT SOMEWHERE WE LIVE AND RENT OUT OCCASIONALLY ON THE WEEKENDS. THE CLOSET AND CABINETS ARE EMPTY EXCEPT FOR DISHES/POTS/PANS/TOWELS ETC. YOU CAN EXPECT IT TO BE CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE.

Fully stocked chef's kitchen with new breakfast bar & 2 stools.

Large, recently renovated bathroom with two-person shower and dual shower heads. Luxurious Bath towels provided.

Free easy street parking. ALWAYS readily available.

Flat-screen 32' Philips TV, DirecTV with HBO/Showtime/Cinemax, netflix-ready DVD player, WiFi wireless high-speed internet.

Shared washer & dryer with upstairs unit. Laundry room is around the side of the house.

Grab one of the books off the shelf and lounge in the hammock. Play a board game! BBQ with the gas grill in the courtyard.

Well behaved dog or cat allowed.

Keypad lock entry so your arrival time is flexible, you can let yourselves in whenever you pull into town.

winter getaway/family time

we were SO pleasantly surprised with both the area and studio apartment.... what a find.... private, great courtyard, even the cat felt at ease relaxing outside with us.... our son and grand-daughter live in san diego and she wanted to move in the studio immediately !!!!! we look forward to keeping our relationship with sean and rosemary and with their properties...

A gem

The unit is the lower of a two-unit building, behind a small house, in the South Park residential neighborhood. The location is superb. Parking was no trouble but there were many wonderful walkable places to eat and visit. The unit itself was clean and bright. It had everything we needed, and the owners were friendly but not intrusive at all. It's obviously a well cared for property. I would certainly recommend this to someone wanting to spend a bit of time in San Diego.

Relaxing Getaway

The studio, set in a low-key neighborhood away from the frantic tourist spots, is a great place to relax for a few days. Not too far from some amazing restaurants and the San Diego Zoo, it's a great base of operations for a San Diego vacation and provides the amenities of home if you want a night in. I'd definitely stay here again.

The owners were very amicable and provided great service, being very helpful with arranging the rental. Eclipse Chocolate Bar and Bistro nearby was one of the highlights of the trip--they provide high-quality brunch items all prepared with chocolate, vanilla, or caramel as well as authentic hot chocolate.

It's a friendly neighborhood, very safe and comfortable, not a lot of traffic, a great place to unwind.

I'd definitely recommend the Eco Studio to family or friends in the area, and would stay here again if visiting San Diego.

Convenient, clean, elegant place in San Diego

I spent a little over a week in this flat while I was visiting San Diego. I loved South Park's neighbourhood. It's overall a pretty quiet neighbourhood with a few charming little coffee shops. The flat is elegantly decorated with a nice front yard with some cactus and a hamac which I loved for late afternoon reading or naps. There is a fully equipped modern kitchen, a huge king bed, nice size bathroom, a dressing and a sitting area with a TV. I would stay there again and the communication was easy and quick.

Tranquil studio in the garden

We had a lovely week at the Eco Studio. Very private,quiet space, simply but stylishly furnished hidden next to the garden in a delightful, convenient area of San Diego.
The studio was immaculate when we arrived, and the bed was amazingly comfortable--I think the best I've ever slept in away from home, and I am picky!
Great to have a (nice) washer/dryer available, and great outdoor space.
Very walkable neighborhood, with multiple choices of restaurants/cafes/coffee/bars--we especially loved the Mariscos seafood/fish/ceviche taco truck on Fern St!
Our rental was quick and easy to arrange, and the owners very timely and responsive.
I would definitely recommend to friends/family, and would love to return!

Home away from home, great location!

We stayed at the studio for 1 month and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect in South Park. Its walking distance from amazing food (Buena Forchetta), the fantastic Ginseng Yoga studio, G-Fit gym and the best pub Hamilton. We didn't even want to go downtown we had everything walking distance! The studio and yard are beautiful and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Also, the bed is very comfortable and what can I say about the sheets! I need to get a set of these, super soft! Thanks for the amazing studio, we would definitely want to come back in the future. Plus, the fact that they accept pets is a very big plus for us!

Sean and I are eco-conscious. We installed 3 solar panel systems (one on the front house and one on the back house and one on the house in University Heights). There is a fast charging station with reserved parking for your electric car. We harvest rainwater and use it to water the grass and plants in the courtyard. The Eco Studio is the perfect combination of beautiful, comfortable yet also sustainable living.

Car: not necessary

South Park is a residential neighborhood, and the Eco Studio is a short walk from Balboa Park Golf Course, dog park, Hamilton's Tavern, Grant's Market (amazing hot chocolate and deli), Ginseng yoga studio and massage, Alchemy Restaurant, South Park Fitness, Stone Brewery Tasting Room, Whistlestop Bar, The Station (kid-friendly indoor/outdoor bar/restaurant), coffeeshops, ice cream parlor, and hipster boutiques.

10-15 minute drive downtown, Gaslamp District, beaches, historic Hotel Del Coronado, Sea World, Airport, Seaport Village, Little Italy.

Ride your bike to the world famous San Diego Zoo and Balboa Park museums!

South Park is such a unique neighborhood. You will not find any cookie-cutter houses here, unless you consider the 100-year-old craftsman houses which are everywhere you look. It's a beautiful, vibrant, and friendly neighborhood. No big box chain stores/restaurants/shops. Everything has a mom & pop feel to it. But the chain stores are a short drive when you need them.
