Gertrude’s Village House- Our favorite location on Siesta Key! Perfectly located on a quiet tropical street between the best beaches, shopping and dining on the island, Gertrude’s provides a

combination of fun and relaxation you can’t find in other getaways.

Richly furnished throughout, the living room, master and back bedrooms all flow onto private patios for indoor and outdoor dining and relaxation. Wander one block on a quiet tropical street to your beach for 280 degree views of the gulf and the most picturesque sunsets on the key or, follow a private footpath to the village for the best fresh oysters, fish, tropical drinks, ice cream, and entertainment.

We recommend starting your days at Gertrude's with an iced coffee at nearby Lelu’s Café or by just taking your time under the brightly colored pagodas of one of your three private patios. Later, you should wander one block (in either of two directions) to your nearest beach. Appropriately named “Sunset Beach” by residents and initiated guests alike, this beach has the best views on the Island. Sunset Beach is also popular with dolphins and my daughter and I paddleboard with one or more of them almost every morning we stay there. Once there, laze float or wade in the calm crystal clear gulf water or, take a short swim to Sand Dollar Island. Shaped by the tides, this island is a naturally occurring white sand cay, the only one of its kind on the Key. Having lost all your worries at the beach, grab some sandals and stroll to the village (swimsuit attire preferred) for live music and fresh seafood at the Siesta Key Oyster Bar, Gilligan’s, the Daiquiri Deck or any one of a dozen nearby restaurants. After your meal, get home-made ice cream at Big Olaf's or, see Blake at Califlorida for a paddle board. Just be sure you make it back to the beach for sunset, they are the best on the coast.

Check-in time is 2:00 PM and Check-out time is 10:00 AM. *Early check-in and late check-out is always free whenever we can rearrange schedules to accommodate (and we will actively try). Guests must be 21 years of age and all persons under 25 years of age must be accompanied by their parent or guardian or submit a damage and nuisance deposit. All rates are subject to 12% sales tax.
