Cozy condo in the heart of Folly Beach, South Carolina is perfect for an inexpensive weekend or weekly getaway, with a small family or group of friends.

This perfectly decorated 1Bedroom/ 1Bathroom condo is located two blocks from the Folly Beach Pier and is located directly on Center Street.

There’s no need to drive anywhere since you are within walking distance to the pier, beach, shops, grocery store, restaurants and nightlife. If it wasn’t for the designated parking spot, you might forget where you parked. Inside the condo is a small kitchen and living room which is complete with a full size fridge & stove, sleeper sofa, dining table and cable TV. The bedroom has two queen size beds and plenty of room for your luggage. Linens and towels are provided, but don’t forget your beach towels. You literally have the best of what Folly has to offer at your doorstep. Whether it’s sitting on the beach, walking the pier, browsing the shops or people watching at an outdoor restaurant, you are never far from home. You can eat out or stay in; the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook meals at home. Only 20 minutes away is the historic city of Charleston, SC. Family friendly activities include the South Carolina Aquarium, boat tours of Fort Sumter and the harbor, and even horse drawn carriage tours of the city. For those looking for a more romantic getaway, don’t forget all of the highly rated restaurants and the King Street shopping district. Whether you are a history buff, foodie, window shopper or just looking to relax; this quaint city has it all.

Location, Location, Location

This condo is in a fantastic location - literally across the street from the beach. Unfortunately, it is also on top of a restaurant/club, so be ready for some late night music on the week-end. With that being said, having so many restaurants and bars that close is wonderful for someone without a car – everything is within walking distance. It is also an extremely small condo (couch in kitchen area), so I wouldn't recommend more than a couple of people stay at one time. And lastly, be prepared for check-out time, as the electronic door lock will change codes at exactly 10:00 a.m. and you will not be able to get back in (I found this out the hard way after leaving my luggage inside until my cab arrived).

Owner's Response: I just checked the lock schedule, the code was active until 11:00 AM, one hour after checkout. I suspect in your haste you entered the code wrong and assumed the code was no longer valid. I'm so sorry, a call to me would have cleared up the situation. How did you get back in for your luggage, did you wait for my cleaner?
As for the location, you are exactly right, this spot is not for everyone, but it is for a select clientele that wants to be in the middle of the action.
Regarding the condo size, it is small, advertised as 400 sq. ft. Depending on the makeup of guests, the 2 queen beds in the bedroom can comfortably sleep more than 2.

Great Place! Great Location!!

The location could not be beat as far as central location...the inside of the condo was perfect for what our family of 4 needed...very well equipped and decorated. The only thing is that you must walk up the stairs that go over the back of a restaurant where they have storage and their freezers...but hearing live music on their deck more than made up for that! We spent all day on the beach so didn't spend much time at the place anyway! Very easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, pier, etc! Highly recommend it and would visit again!

Home. That's what the picture says that hangs in the kitchen. And for us it felt like home away from home. We wanted a clean place to stay that didn't require mortgaging the farm. We found it in this little apartment. We spent our days (and money saved) riding bikes,fishing and strolling the nearby beach. We even took a harbour tour of Charleston 20 minutes away. Then when we were tired,we had a good place to lay our head for the night. It was suprisingly quiet,just as the new owner had said it would be. The thing that sold us is the OWNER stays here with her kids on open dates.How many places can say that? She told us of the 1 or 2 "drawbacks" that she had found. There IS a woodfire grill next door and you do have to climb a few steps, and the scenery outside is not front porch material. But once you shut the door,you're in your own private oasis. We loved it. The pier is right across the parking lot(the locals said fishing would pick up over the next few weeks). We caught 2 stingrays and a skate while fishing with shrimp. 2 blocks over behind the gas station is Cool Breeze bike rentals. MAKE SURE you take an evening bike ride. The number is on the fridge.It's $7 an hour,15 for the day or 40 for the week. Ask the guy to point you in the best direction,he'll gladly oblige. Morris Island Lighthouse is a short ride in one direction. The old Folly Beach county park (where we found sand dollars and the only footprints were ours a couple of mornings) is on the other end. I want to thank the owner (she's a sweetheart) for sharing her place with us. We had the vacation of a lifetime.

In fairness since I've built it up,I want to tell you the only flaws we had. Snapper Jacks next door was a little noisy on Saturday night because of St Pattys day...our box fan remedied that. Parking was a little tight,but then again,we drive a long wheel base GMC envoy. But,if you want a clean (and we're picky as anybody) place to stay at a very reasonable price,give this place a shot. We were the first since the new owner had fixed it up and we were sure glad we did!

P.S. Save an opening or two for us...because we will be back!!!
