Overall, the rental suited my basic needs. I needed a place that took pets and close to the beach. The location was great, 1 block for the beach and a coffee shop across the street. The neighborhood is very nice, quiet and convenient to several restaurants and activities. The owner is very nice. However, the unit was difficult to find because the picture shows the front of the house and the unit is in the back of the house. With the unit being in the back of the house, wifi was almost impossible because there is no router in the unit. It’s like connecting to a hotspot or wireless data. My only other concern was the hot water, which stopped working. The owner responded quickly, to flip the breaker for the heater. However, the water never was hot, just warm. My only recommendations for the owner would be to place a wireless router in the unit, turn up the thermostat on the water heater and clearly state the location of the unit.
Some of the things we did during our stay included sitting on the beach, enjoying seafood at Bayview restaurant and The Crabhouse. Breakfast at Lori's across the street, Jamaica Me Hungry, Surfside dinner and the Flip Flop cafe. All restaurants within a 1.5 mile radius. We played mini golf and golfed at Par 3 course. We visited 4 different wineries; Cape May, Hawk Haven and Natali winery on the rainy days. We also took a day trip to Atlantic City, which is an hour away. We shopped at the outlets and gambled at the Revel Casino. Overall the activities and time was carefree and relaxing. The only thing I didn't get to do was take my dog to the beach. There is only one beach for dogs in the summer which is near the Cape May Ferry and we didn't get to visit.
