Perfect!!!

This cottage was exactly what we were looking for! It is centrally located great for couples or small families. It is mere steps from the door to the water. We loved opening the windows & listening to the water hit the shore! Annie was a wonderful host & super easy to deal with. Visiting the Lakeshore Winery was a unique experience. It was the first winery that we have been to were you can sit and enjoy your tasting! We are hoping to make it back to the cottage again soon!! Thank you for sharing the cottage with us!

Perfect Location

The location was perfect. It is conveniently located between Ithaca and Seneca Falls; close to many state parks for hiking.
The cottage was clean, bright and sunny. We loved that it was right on the lake shore. It was nice to have the windows open at night and listen to the water wash on the stony beach and have a nice breeze off of the lake. It is the perfect size for two.
We really appreciated the use of the kayaks as well.
We have recommended it to a few friends. A great getaway weekend.

Wonderful lake front experience!

We thoroughly enjoyed being right on the lake with this cabin and large deck. The kayaks provided were excellent as well. Most importantly, Annie is very accommodating and is a wonderful host! Wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back!

Great place for our family

  • 5 of 5
This cottage was a nice fit for our family of 4 plus our dog. The kids loved the water, searching the rocky beach for treasures, and kayaking. We enjoyed mostly distraction free time with the kids and the relatively quiet location. Although the cottage is one room (plus a bathroom), the room is fairly large so we didn't feel cramped. There is a small TV that receives a hand full of over the air stations and very limited wifi is available (you have to stand in the corner or outside and probably won't be able to stream video, but if you need to check email or do an internet search you'll be happy it is there). The driveway is a bit steep so our visitors often parked on the street. On the plus side, the kids and dog understood the bottom of the hill was as far as they should go without us. The grill is charcoal, which I don't care for, so we just used the kitchen or beach fire pit. The owners live across the street and are very accessible and easy to work with. Since the winery is one of our favorite to visit, we took advantage of the complimentary tasting (and returned for a paid tasting later in the week). We enjoyed our stay enough that we've reserved another week before the school year starts.
