This storybook property surrounded by trees sits on the banks of a beautiful stretch of the Roaring Fork River in rustic Woody Creek. Its great for fishing and relaxing in nature yet just minutes from Aspen's cultural activities by car, bus or bikes. Cars and bus take 10-12 minutes while bikes take a bit longer on the Rio Grande Bike Trail that runs above our home.
A spacious, high-ceilinged great room with living/dining/kitchen and powder room is on the entry level of the two story house. The artistically furnished room has a Steinway parlor grand piano and fireplace at one end and a bay window seating area at the other near the kitchen. The room opens onto a wide deck overlooking the river for summer dining and entertaining.
On the lower level there is a master bedroom with king bed and adjoining bathroom and a 2nd bedroom with queen sized bed with adjacent bathroom. Both bathrooms have a tub, shower and two sinks. Both bedrooms open onto the garden where there is a 4 person hot tub.
A stone and gravel path leads to the river where there is a large canvas yurt, picnic tables, hammock and electric outhouse. There are two futons in the yurt where you can sleep to the sound of the Roaring Fork when the spirit moves you...or when you are not catching a 16" trout!
