Well kept, nice hardwood floors and furniture made it such a pleasant homebase during our visit. This neighbourhood was great and safe to walk around at night. Even the kids gave it two thumbs up and owner was very accomidating.
Highly reccomend staying here, we'll be back!
Well-maintained apt in a good location
Nice place, worked out well
Took a chance
The guy was about 15 minutes late meeting us at a coffee shop around the corner from the property, mildly annoying, but I understand.
The apartment itself is on the smaller end of the scale. This isn't a lux apartment, but then again it never claimed to be I suppose. Still, it was clean and suitable for what we needed. The subway was only about a 3 minute walk to the F train which got me into Times Square in about 15 minutes. I would stay here again and happy I took the chance.
PS. There's a great restaurant we went to kind of nearby worth checking out: Stanton Social. Really really great food.
We had a great vacation, so the things that annoyed me about renting from these guys are just that -- annoying but didn't ruin the trip.
The "Greeting Location" is a street corner. We waited there about an hour, unable to reach anyone on the phone or email. They had been hard to reach on the phone after booking prior to the trip. On the day we arrived the concierge (that means the guy with keys to the apartment, not like a concierge in a hotel) said he didn't answer because he was in the subway. It was a nice day. If it had been raining....
I had asked several times about early check-in and prior to the trip was told that could be done if the apartment was ready -- it has to be cleaned after the prior guests. OK I get it. On the day we arrived they just said no, even though they also said this was the first time the unit was being rented after some renovation.
The wireless signal was very very weak, most of the time useless.
The apartment come with towels. If you think that implies there will be washcloths or hand towels, you would be mistaken. No dishtowels either, though there was a roll of paper towels.
The TV got 3 channels.
